After moving to a home with so little shade, we decided to take advantage of our sunny abundance and install solar panels. We started our research and found it tough to get straight answers about solar and the available resources in SC. We interviewed more companies before making the decision, and found some that seemed inexperienced. One salesman even claimed to represent a company that had been dissolved in 2013!! So we proceeded VERY cautiously. We found Southern Current's installers were certified under both the NABCEP and the SC Solar Council, so we knew they were legit. Andrew, Scott and the other guys at Southern Current explained everything clearly, took care of scheduling all the inspections, and made all the arrangements for hook up to SCE&G. They made the whole process simple. They even provided all the documentation we'd need to apply for tax credits. We have had a wonderful experience so far and are glad to be part of the renewable energy effort! We've had our panels for a full year now, and each month, we've been able to see the comparison of this year to the one before the panels were installed.
