Arizona Solar Solutions

Have to admit, after reading the two junk reviews for (Arizona) Solar Solutions here, I was worried what I had gotten myself into.

We had just purchased a house here in AZ, and with all the free sunlight thought it would be a good idea to invest in solar. We had the previous homeowner's APS bills and our previous rental's SRP bills, and the rep was able to put together a pretty succinct estimate for what we'd require and how the arrangement would look on our roof.

The process - from starting the evaluation to install to APS approval - took right around 2 months. I am going to bet this isn't typical, but I'm not complaining! My biggest complaint is that the paperwork came fast and furiously - HOA approval, design approval, loan documents, it was really hard to keep track of everything. All that was going on and then the contractors came to install the panels. A little more paperwork. County inspector came, and then a week or two later the APS inspector came and we were online!

We're about 2 months in now. Our first APS bill was cut in half - from $300 to $150, and only because our solar didn't kick on until the halfway point in our billing cycle. Second month in and we're down to $20 a month from APS - on top of the $150/month for our loan. And for the month of August, we made about 5-10% more than we used. At this rate we'll be in the clear for a while (despite solar panels losing efficiency as time goes on).

Really couldn't be happier - with our decision to go with Solar Solutions and solar power in general. Let's hope APS behaves...or else we'll be calling Solar Solutions to have them install a storage battery when they become available!
