So-Cal Solar Inc.

I went with So-Cal Solar Inc. 9month for the fact that it was owned by my friends brother. So I said, why not. Spoke with them and sure enough I was sold a dream. I purchased a 5100 watt system for 20k(yes expensive). Now this is how I was (lied) misled to about the GOVERNMENT ENERGY TAX CREDIT which "Sold" me on purchasing the solar. I was told I would receive 33% back of the cost of the system which is 6600, now with that money, your going to put back into the system, now the system comes out to $13,400 win-win for everyone, since you can buy the system cash for 9k. I said Great. Well, did my taxes and where is this $6,600 tax credit that I was told I would receive on top on my normal return.
Unfortunately Since I claim children like most single family homes do, that credit doesn't help much when your Kids maximizes your tax credit alone. So I spoke with them, and basically was told I was out of luck, don't claim your kids next year and you "should" get the money than. So now, I have pull from my saving to pay $4200 towards the system, if not my mortgage goes from 1300-1900. Now why is that. Because, Yes you are owning the system, but the loan of the system merges with your home loan, thus creating the increase, that at least they did disclose correctly that my mortage would go up 1500, but since there's no tax credit it's increasing to 1900.

Now let's talk about the Energy Saving the solar does for you. Since I went with a large system I had to sign contract with So-Cal Edison because on paper the system would generated $740 worth of electricity a month. This is what So-Cal Solar pitches to you, that the system literally pays itself. WRONG. About 2 months later, I received a letter stating it would only generate $640 and anything I don't use would be credited to me. Cool, I'm not sweating $100 bucks. Now how is it that no one is home for 8 hours and I still have a bill every month. small bill of $26 dollars but keep in mind my normal bill was only $70 bucks. Now you say why go solar if your bill is only $70. I am a cannabis patient, going solar meant I could grow my own meds without leaving my home, WRONG. Some how, the system doesn't generate enough electricity in the Antelope Valley, that my bill was outrages, shut that operation down immediately and went back to Dispensaries.

I can go on and on about the promises I was given and nothing has been delivered. I want to help people to learn from my mistake. If they Treat close people like this, how will they treat a complete stranger. What makes it worse the system I bought at 20k was sold to another person for $17,500. Yeah Ouch.
