Adding photo-voltaic panels to our home was a goal of ours since the 70's. In October 2014 we traveled to five properties that participated in the Louisville Solar Tour. We talked at length with either an owner or a solar energy installer at each property, as well as, viewed their installation. What we learned cleared up our wrong ideas about storing power, brought us up to date on system options, gave us a head start in meeting installers (we ultimately interviewed and received proposals from four) and inspired us to move ahead with the project.

Solar Energy Solutions was our choice because the representative was knowledgeable and responsive to our questions and concerns, met with us more than once to work out specific issues at our site and presented a final cost in line with, if not less than, other proposals. The rep kept us informed of the timing of our installation and the system was installed on the days specified. Their crew worked efficiently, answered some questions I had during installation and left very little mess. Our 5.2kW system was activated in August 2015.

After the panel installation and while setting up the interface so we could check on solar energy output we encountered some issues. SES office personnel never dropped the ball and worked out the issues within a few weeks. The project was a pleasure from beginning to end and we now look forward to receiving our much reduced electric bill. We've reduced our carbon footprint and it feels good.... read more
