Can't say much here because all I know is that they are working well, even on cloudy days.

From my research I did before choosing which panels I wanted, I was looking for a panel with a longer track record than others. (I understand almost all panels have equivalent warranties, so I wanted panels from a well-known producer) they look awesome! I will see how they perform and update as I'm tracking the panels performance.
I really like the optimizes that are build into each panel. It gives me the ability to monitor each panel remotely. The other company I was considering charged me quite abbot for this, but Air Wind included it in their base package. Pretty cool!... read more
SOLAREDGE TECHNOLOGIES INC REVIEWS
I do like their product but a company is only worth as much as their support. They used to have excellent support but now it is a wait and then a failure to answer product specific questions. As an installer I cannot afford to work with a company that takes forever to get back to me.... read more

I really like the SolarEdge system but right now I am very frustrated with customer support. I have reached out several times to get my issues resolved but no fix has been found. I feel like I’m abandoned and I am not sure if it will get resolved any time soon. Great system when it works.... read more

I had 40 panels and water heater, exhaust solar fan and air conditioner install in October 2017. The work was completed on time and done very professionally. My electric bill went from $920 a month to $180 per month. The staff and employees were outstanding. I will definitely recommend them anytime.... read more

System fully installed June 20th, 2018. This was the day the power company installed the bi-directional meter and the solar system was activated. All power optimizers, solar panels, and the inverter worked. I had an issue with the installing company giving me full access to the monitoring app and SolarEdge talked to the company and helped me get the permissions I needed to see all the data provided by the system. So far I have been very happy with the SolarEdge product and their customer service. A+++... read more
To whom it may concern I am writing this review to alert any potential purchasers to the issues that I have had with my 15 KW system installed by PEG Solar. First the good; the folks are polite so you couldn't ask for more in that regard.
The installation was not the best quality things were sloppy and lacked quality control, took calling the owner to have site visit to correct. I am still dealing with clogged gutters and down spouts as a result of nylon tie straps and other consumables used to install the solar panels on my roof.
My home was new construction so when you find these parts all around the perimeter of the home only points in one direction. The system was installed in December and has been inconsistently performing since that time. I have SolarEdge Inverters, Canadian Solar panels and LG battery back up. Over the last two weeks ¾ of my panels and one inverter has been offline. The system has not functioned in 100% configuration as installed. I have made several calls and emailed PEG owners about the problem all the gave was more excuses about firmware which since December has been updated a number of times as well as communications card which the first excuse was my system exceeded the cellular data cap so I recommended connecting to my home internet provider. Still no resolution therefore I am placing this review as well as opening a case with the Better Business Bureau of both Carolinas and Virginia to make sure you make an informed decision about the product and services you are contracting for as I have not been satisfied with either the product or service. Buyer be ware!are encouraged to investigate other solutions.... read more
The inverter threw several error codes when first powered on. The installer had to take a look at it and contact the company. They did some remote software updates but it is still not behaving correctly during emergency shutdown. Ultimately, we need to have the inverter replaced. Thankfully, for now, it is working correctly after being fully powered up, so we aren't losing any solar production.... read more
I had my service turned on a week ago by the power company and the unit is still not producing any power. Two calls to tech support and I have not heard back from them on when they might get to it. If I had it to do again, I would not have had this installed. Should have read the negative reviews sooner.... read more

There are a lot of great inverters out there but nothing compares to SolarEdge as far as performance and value. Not only from the installer's point of view, but the property owner's long-term value and the flexible design quality.
We've installed hundreds of optimizers, having only one unit for warranty and no trouble getting full resolution on short order. As an optimized system, there was no down-time on the system as only one module was affected temporarily. The inverters work flawlessly and are very quiet (others make high-pitch noise). Probably also the best monitoring system out there - all you have to do is plug it in an hold a button for a few seconds and you're done.
No product is perfect, and I can attest to the utter frustration with technical support and multiple warranties dealt with on another major brand (that I no longer trust to sell). I trust in SolarEdge to provide the least issues for the longest time. I think that's why they have a 25 year warranty option on the entire system.... read more
I had my system go live on 10/4/17 the inverter and phone app read "0 Kwh". At the end of each day there is a difference (1 to 3 Kwh) of readings from the inverter and the phone app. As of 10/27/17 the inverter reading is 753 KWh and the phone app is 779 KWh. I am unable to get customer support to tell me why this is happening. They do not answer the phone and no response to email... read more
As a NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional™, and a professional engineer specializing in PV Systems Technology, I have had the pleasure of designing with a wide variety of products produced by many different manufacturers. SolarEdge has become one of my very favorite manufacturers. Their products are industry leading, but most importantly, if I (or one of my clients) has a question - no matter how mundane - the SolarEdge support team has consistently provide thorough answers with professional courtesy. They respond to phone calls or email requests quickly (normally within a few hours). Their website is easy to navigate and very complete. As the technology in this industry continues to progress (and offer an infinite variety of combinations), having a manufacturer who places customer support above all else, is extremely valuable for success. Thank you SolarEdge!... read more
You can call the tech support help line - they will give you a 50 min wait or the option to chat with them online....Well the online experience is probably worse. After 45 min the website states that the window has been inactive for too long....and resets itself....so you can enter you question again...but best of all - you are at the back of the queue...

Was called by a customer, to replace a bad inverter. Was told Solaredge would reimburse. After 30 days of trying to get a response from solaredge, my customer finally got through to them. Have a couple of ground based arrays, where we used solaredge. We are in VT and maybe it is the cold, but we are starting to have issues, and support is horrible. Hired local firm of good rep. Goal was system whose best production might reach 750kwh/month. In 2016 system surprised maximum 6 out of 12 months. Have 2-3 months each year in which we make more than we use. Our unit is not standalone, so when the power company is down, so is our unit. Did not ask about that before installation. Will need generator or battery backup in case of power outage. We are in Florida.... read more

We switched the majority of our installations from Micro-inverters to SolarEdge, for several reasons:
1.) Better price, especially on larger systems
2.) Same great module level monitoring
3.) Integrated DC optimizers mitigate any shading or multiple angle issues.
4.) Inexpensive 25 year warranty extension
5.) Optional battery connectivity for Self-Consumption and/or backup.
6.) Incredible reliability of hardware.
7.) SolarEdge's excellence is customer service.... read more

I have been installing Solaredge inverters for sereral years now. They are a cut above the other inverters I have used in the past. Besides providing greater output from any solar electric system, I feel confident that my customers and my crew are safe around their systems. The safety features that are standard on any Solaredge inverter were the original reason I switched. That they provide higher system output and module level data logging is icing on the cake.... read more
We install this inverter for many of our customers. They are easy to work with, offer a great monitoring platform, and have a high efficiency conversion rate. It offers all the benefits of string inverters and microinverters at the same time. Win-win.... read more
We had already gotten quotes from four different companies (two possibles, two obvious no-go's) when a neighbor said we MUST talk to Vince at Jamar Power before signing with anyone else.
We were immediately impressed with Jamar: Vince outlined a SolarEdge system that suited us perfectly, answered all our questions and concerns thoroughly and with great patience. We liked that Jamar has a long history in the electrical business and does not subcontract out the work, like many do. We're old enough to have seen a few economic cycles, and it seems likely that many of today's opportunistic solar companies will disappear after 2016. Jamar has been successful in the electrical business for many years, and is likely to continue for many more.
I'm a geek, and I found the technical stuff fascinating. The SolarEdge system has the advantages of both string and microinverter systems, at reasonable cost, with the MPPT work being done on the roof by intelligent power optimizers, which are very efficient (see Wikipedia on buck-boost converters for more). The optimizers feed DC power to a string inverter, keeping all the more fragile components in a more sheltered environment off the roof. My experience with electronics makes me skeptical about longevity claims for the electrolytic capacitors in roof-mounted microinverters. SolarEdge looks to be a well-run, well-capitalized company that is likely to be in business for many years.
We went with 24 LG305 panels with SolarEdge power optimizers and SE7600 inverter, a 7.32 kW system adequate to handle our pool and a/c needs. Panel-level monitoring is provided, so you can show off at lunchtime with your cellphone, or monitor from your desktop PC.
Installation dovetailed perfectly with replacement of our aging roof (our roofer Mark Anthony Construction and Roofing, is also a class act that I highly recommend), so the whole project, roof and solar, was all done in 8 days!
Everything went perfectly! Because our breaker box was maxxed out, Jamar installed an extra electrical sub-panel at no extra cost. Everything was done quickly, neatly, no muss, no fuss, and no mess. They explained every component of the system and how to operate it all.
Everything looked great when they finished, and of course it passed inspection. We were approved and making power two weeks from when they had started work, and less than six weeks after signing a contract, in time to turn the summer sun into money, and be grandfathered into net metering.
I just can't say enough about how smoothly and perfectly everything went! We're usually a little apprehensive about home projects, but this could not have gone better!
Jamar Power is an excellent company and I would recommend them to anyone!... read more

We started using SolarEdge early in 2014 and we far prefer it to the micros or standard SMA's. We can see the difference by watching the monitoring of how Solar Edge gets a little more out of each panel because of it's design.
We had a problem on a weekend and they got back to us in a timely manner.... read more
They have a great monitoring portal. The optimzers install easily. I like how they communicate with the inverter over the power wires. I wish the inverter had to ability to detect Wifi and connect instead of running a data cable to the router. I'd also prefer the AC/DC disconnect to be made of metal and allow the installer to put knockouts only where they are needed. Overall its a good product and I use them on most of my installations now.... read more
An inverter is the most efficient when the input and output voltages are constant. The SolarEdge design uses a DC/DC converter at each panel (called a Power Optimizer) that works with all the panels in the string to provide a very narrow variance of voltage to the inverter. The inverter then only needs to convert that very steady DC voltage to AC voltage. Very efficient and very effective. If panels are shaded, the Power Optimizers reconfigure their outputs so that the combined voltage is roughly 350 volts The end result being that an output drop on one or more panels does not impact the overall effectiveness of the others.
The result is that I get great power even as the clouds pass by.
Best of all, the inverter talks to the Power Optimizers over the power cables so that specific panel outputs are known and monitored.
Built-in monitoring by direct web connection is a nice feature too. All inverters should be this sophisticated.... read more
Wow really great and easy to install.
As an Owner builder this is an easy task really!
But I have a few items to warn you about...
The locations of the knockouts on the inverter case are a little awkward and with the invert er mounted off the wall about 4" made for a-lot of fitting work to bring power to the AC/ DC connections. Inverter is really easy to install otherwise... Optimizer are simple. ... Once all connected and running I had an issue with one optimizer and need a replacement.... it took customer -no support three days to get back to me.... and now after more than a week with a non-functioning panel ( because of the bad opt) I still have not heard anything. I might just have to buy a new unit and wait until they finally get around to me.... read more
Installed one of the new 10kW SolarEdge single inverters on my home in the Bay Area. Using Sunniva 270W modules. Slingshot Power did the installation in a day which was impressive given the large system size. Inverter hangs nicely in my garage and the asthetics are great. A fair amount of early morning and early evening shade but the systems is doing a fantastic job of harvesting power even when some of the panels are partially shaded. Panel-level monitoring is really nice as I get a birds-eye view into how each module is working. iPhone APP is nice when I need brag to my friends with old string inverters that have no monitoring.
I was quoted the same price for a system with an SMA inverter and $2,500 more for a system with Enphase micros. No brainer to use SolarEdge over SMA given all the features. I researched Enphase and learned about all the failures so I did not like the prospect of trying to remove these from behind the panel in the coming years.
Also, the system is completely expandable so I can add another array in the future if my energy needs go up.
All in all, I am happy with the install and support from Slingshot with a nice inverter from SolarEdge.... read more
