Every interaction with Gen Pro, from start to finish, has been positive. They worked hard, kept things neat, explained everything they were doing, and stayed below their original estimate. We produced more electricity than we used these last two months--it's an incredible feeling.
We installed out system in July and had multiple issues around lack of communication. One of the main things our salesperson Scott highlighted was his company's reputation and the importance of warranty on the work and materials. This is important because of the length of the warranty on the equipment (25 years) and the labor. Before our install, the solar panels manufacturer we were using went bankrupt. Clearly the concern is we had ordered panels from a bankrupt manufacturer, so the warranty is totally up in the air. Creative Energy knew about this, and because of the issues with this manufacturer going bankrupt Creative stopped all business with them going forward. However, the withheld this from me even though my install hadn't occurred. Had I known this I of course would have selected different anything they sent me a response with words to the effect of They had already ordered and paid for the panels, like that's a reason to not tell me! Only when I pressed them on this did they actually do anything.Next issue was their referral program advertised on the website. Before all my issues occurred, I had referred a relative (I seriously regret this now) who invested a significant amount on a system with them. After When we asked about the referral incentive he was told there was a cut off date (which is not mentioned anywhere on their website) and that his install didn't qualify. He too, has experienced the same types of issue I did with total lack of response to issues. Basically, if you have an issue with this company, you need to email the owner directly and mention that you are not going ahead with your installation or that you will be leaving a review online. Then you will get a response.I absolutely dread the thought of their being an issue with my system down the road. I can only imagine their commitment to fixing warranty issues 10 years after the money has been paid.... read more
