Firstly, no solar contractors can pay to get listed at the top of our search results.
The order of our list of best solar installers is displayed based on a formula balancing reviews number and reviews score only from the last two years. If a company has a lot of reviews and a higher average reviews score, but is below another company in the list, it is because most of their reviews are old and the company above them has more reviews at a better average reviews score in the last two years (even if overall they have fewer reviews or a lower all time average reviews score).
We show all solar energy contractors that have received reviews of solar panel installation work they have done in Jupiter Point even if they don't have an office in Jupiter Point. There are a lot of renewable energy companies in the solar industry in the United States that service areas in which they don't have offices via contract installation teams. Some of these companies receive a lot of complaints (see the big national installers reviews like Vivint Solar, Sunrun and Solar City), but others have really good reviews and so we don't exclude them from our top solar companies lists. They often bring price competition to smaller cities where the local solar companies are so busy they need to put their prices up. It is up to you how much weight you put on a local office when choosing between solar companies.

EcoSmart answered all of our questions and we were very satisfied with our solar panel installation. The whole process went quickly and easily.
When we first looked into solar in 2014, we registered with the CT solar website and got many hits from many companies making claims about the amount of generation they could produce on our roof, site unseen. We had called a few and had them come out and map the roof line, etc. Many of them would give a system cost and a savings cost on the spot. However, most of the quick startup companies would buy bulk mountings and panels so they would rope you into that product without considering your generation needs and real estate to maximize your production.Ron was willing to sit down and talk us through the entire process as an engineer and sales representative so we could understand what was needed, what could be generated, what the cost range would be, what the tax benefits and incentives were, and what the pay off period would be. He talked about different details that others had tried to sell me that sounded cool... but did I need them (e.g. micro-inverters vs. regular inverters)? he even went into detail about the different mounting systems and their benefits... things that may normally seem boring but to a concerned homeowner, putting holes in the roof is a big deal.Just prior to the install, Ron re-measured the roof and, based on the footing placement and our dormers, found that the panels would actually come over the roof ridge by a couple of inches. Knowing our desire for aesthetics, he quickly redesigned the arrays using a different panel that would not be seen from the front of the house but produce at a similar rate. Even afterward, Ron was helpful in billing questions from Eversource. Anytime anyone asks me about solar, I give them Ron's name and they tell me how helpful he was (whether they went with his company, going solar, or nothing at all).Overall, Ron's expertise in the field and love of the work led us to go with him and I would recommend anyone else to sit down with him to better understand the benefits of going solar without succumbing to the hyperbole of the fast sales driven market.... read more

Earthlight was absolutely fantastic! We have a pretty big install with 75 SunPower panels yet it only took them 2 days to complete the install plus everything is professionally done in conduit to code! I had a electrician over (unrelated to Solar) and he was so impressed he was going to give them a call for his own install. Earthlight treated our install like a all hands on deck. They sent upwards of 10 guys through the 2 day install. They were all very nice and acted professionally. They even helped us with a small rodent problem by sealing some gaps in our siding by the roof (above and beyond their duty)! I couldn't recommend them more to anyone looking for a solar install! Not only are they the best installers they also use the best equipment and panels on the market (SunPower). The SunPower Equinox system is a complete package from SunPower unlike others that use parts here and there from various manufactures. Earthlight's customer first focus is bar none! They even brought a thank you present from a local business in Ellington on their last visit! You can't go wrong choosing Earthlight for your Solar Install! Now I just wish I had more roof space to install more panels!... read more

I had a great experience with Crius. They knocked on my door and told me they we're selling solar and I really didn't want to hear anything about it but the guy was really nice. Oliver was my sales rep and he explained how solar works and how I might be able to save money with it.I signed up with them about 5 weeks ago and just had solar installed this week. I'm very happy with how professional everyone has been that I've talked with and how they made sure I understood what was going on through the whole process.I've already talked to my brother about getting solar installed too.... read more

I did a ton of research on solar and solar installers and even entered into a conversation with a different company. I am a very demanding customer and I have to say that everyone I have dealt with at this company are A+. They are honest, polite, knowledgeable, passionate about their work and their company and responsive months after the deal is done. Truly amazing... read more

Trinity solar is the worst solar company ever! I got my solar installed last year November and it was activated in December 2017. I haven’t benefited from the solar panels at all. I’ve recieved higher electric bills. My electric bills are mostly over $120 plus I have to pay a monthly fee of $80 to Sunnova. I regret getting Solar with Trinity. It’s been nothing but a headache. I’ve had three leaks in my roof. At the moment I don’t think that my panels are producing anything. I recieved my electric bill yesterday and there’s no credit towards my bill from the panels. This company is a rip off. I’m about to write Better business bureau. I wish I could have given them a zero rating. Do not waste your time with this company unless you have time and money to waste.... read more

I started the process with Vivint over the summer. It took about 3-4 months start to finish. My sales manager Thiago was awesome. He explained how the system worked and stayed in contact throughout the entire process. Vivint even covered tree removal for some trees in my back yard. Highly recommend

Be aware if anything goes wrong with you system, although they will fix it for "free" your downtime could be months. My inverter stopped working after 4 years, the technician came out to confirm and told me it would be 2-3 weeks to get a new one ordered and installed, meanwhile I'm without solar power and my PG&E bill goes way up. Calling back Sunrun after 3-4 weeks I'm now told it could take up to 2 months to get a new inverter because each one is customized. Meanwhile I continue to pay SunRun $180 a month to lease a nonfunctional system. I will not be compensated for the time off line by a reduction of my lease bill unless the yearly average of solar energy generated goes below their guaranteed minimum, then they will compensate me at a rate of about 6-7 cents per KWH. Meanwhile I'm paying PG&E up to 20 cents per KWH for the upper tiers while my system is down. Because of the above reasons I would not recommend SunRun as a company to purchase or lease a solar system. Check around, read the fine print. Also many companies have a flat lease rate. SunRun's lease agreement goes up 2% / year for 20 years.... read more
