I`m very picky, but Pacific Solar Energy took it all in stride. Great to work with. They appeared to do a good job from an appearance perspective (I can`t really tell if their work was technically strong, but they were highly recommended to me by folks I trust) and they were very nice to deal with. Would absolutely hire them again.
PSE worked through CC Energy. Together they were a great team. CC Energy handled the up front explanations, choices, etc., while PSE handled actual installation and permit compliance.

My solar has been installed on my roof for over 2 months. Final inspection has been over a month and yet, my solar is still not turned on. So the panels are installed and providing power to the grid, but im not benefitting from it AT ALL because it has not been turned up on my end for some reason. For over a month now i have been talking to Pacific Solar and all they keep saying is that they are waiting on the PTO from SCE, which they told me when i signed up that the pto would take a week, but its been 6 weeks since my final inspection. The guy that signed me up has not replied to any of my text in the last two weeks and every time i call the office, they say they will call me back after they research why this is taking so long, no call back. When i chatted with the guy that signed me up over two weeks ago, he told me it was because the copy of my bill i sent from the beginning, two months ago didnt show my account number and name on the account, but if that was the case, which is needed to start installation, then why was i never informed of that issue? Resent the bill showing all necessary information over two weeks ago and still NOTHING, for something that is only suppose to take a week. No one there appears to be helping, only delegating the blame for why i am not turned on yet.

Pacific Solar is terrific. The owner and the installers showed the highest level of professionalism & courtesy. These guys have the know how and opportunity to install large commercial projects, yet they treated my modest home system as if it was the most important project in the world.
For me this was primarily a financial decisison. In addition I feel good about helping make the US less dependent on foreign energy supplies. Being more self-sufficient is also an intangible benefit. If it were not for the rebates & tax credits, the payoff time would have been too long for me to do this project.

My general consultant Dick Hansen and the instalation contractor David Pascualy were excellent. Both are very customer sensitive and communicate well. A very good experience.
I am an expert in energy issues so I needed no encouragement except price incentives.

David Pascualy from Pacific Solar Energy is a great person to work with. He has properly answered all my questions. I have evaluated five other solar vendors prior to selecting David and his expertise in this field is good. In the evaluation phase, I had a concern about securing the solar panels to the roof and making it water tight. My roof has metal shingles with wood shake below. David called the vendor who installed my roofing and verified that the technique was sound. This process gave me a good feeling to see David is checking the solution by verifying the methods with other experts.
Throughout the installation, we had daily communication over the phone or at my home as to the status of what is going on. His work team was professional and polite. They would make sure we were notified if they wanted to come into the house. Unfortunate, they did not speak English so I could not communicate with them better. After the installation (late Friday), David made a special trip on Saturday to make sure the system was operating properly, we needed the sun.
In the next few days, daylight was shorter and the sun was striking lower only to my surprise that several of my neighbor tall trees were casting shadows. David proposed to rewire the individual panels differently, trying to reduce the effect. David completed this task in one day, but the result was a wash. However, the idea that David would follow up on a potential better configuration and performed it shows that he is really thinking about his work even after he has completed it. I don't think large vendors would be so nice as to try this. David wants to be perfect.
The rebate went smoothly only because David did all the work. Besides compiling all the forms, getting my signature, and submitting them, David would track the status and periodically call or email me to keep me informed. David is a personal person and he is very easy to talk to. I would definitely work with him again.

My system was installed in 1998 (by a different installer)-- this project was to convert the system from having batteries (for backup), to not (the batteries had died). It involved converting from a 48V system, to a 200+V string inverter. I live in Spain, so all communication was remote/international, and I`m very happy with the result.
My system was originally installed in 1998 ...

David is very knowledgable on the product. I felt confident he knew just what he was doing, and he did. Our system works great! I recommend Pacific Solar Energy.
Everyone needs the opportunity to have (eventually) free green power. It just costs too much money for most those I know ...for now.
