Great System!!!

We installed the solar system on our south facing garage and it has been simply amazing our power bill on a monthly averaging plan was running to $89.00 per month before the systems was installed. After the installation our highest bill was $32.00 and that month we had 90% clouds, rain and snowI have switched to all battery powered yard tools and snowblowers. Last month we generated 175 kWh over our monthly usage. The only issue I had was with the finance company they placed a lien on our home without our permission, which I thought was quite shady, I paid off the loan immediately and couldn’t be any happier. The Go Solar group was easy to work with, the installers did a great job and they didn’t leave any messes after they completed the job. Th one thing that they did that no one else did is listen! I did not want the panels on roof of our home but rather on the detached garage so they would not be seen from our patio all 18 panels and the inverter are out of sight . The only other thing that I wish they would provide is a monitoring system so I could see what we are generating daily and monitor the performance of each of the panel online. GO SOLAR gets a strong recommend rating!!! Tony

If I knew then what I know now!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They only install the systems and then if there are any problems they pass them off to Titan Solar in Mesa, AZ. My inverter has been down since April and I have been attempting to get it fixed since the beginning of May. Titan sent a technician on June 21 who had no clue how to fix the inverter. He said he would call me to reschedule and I have never heard back. I am sending an email every week to GoSolar and all I get are promises and apologies. My NV Energy bill for electricity was $13.84 in August of 2021 and in August of 2022, because the inverter is not working, it was $150.72.

Go Away from "Go Solar" company

Go Solar lied about the entire roof being under a million dollar umbrella and that they would clean panels from snow (no). We were supposed to get a $2000 rebate but Go Solar made us wait over a year to install after signing a huge 20 year contract in lawyer talk. We did not get rebate since Go Solar took soon long to install! I designed to roof specifically for solar and spoke to Go Solar to have the 16 panel array installed horizontal but they did not. They ripped it off and placed them in the correct orientation (after complaining months). Then later roof leaked where "Go Solar" had patched the mistake BUT did not want to fix it (had to call for months)! Now panels shut off. I noticed five weeks ago and told them then (could have been off longer?). You must hound them to do anything multiple times. No solar helping now in these long sunny solar days. May disconnect as Go Solar is in breech of contract. Go Solar is too huge to care for it's customers and they do not care about you after you sign their devious contract.

overpriced and lousy service

We had solar panels installed a month ago. The whole process from the initial sale to the installation and greenlight from NV energy to use took 4 months, granted Covid lockdown did not help, but we had no communication from GoSolar during that time regarding timing, next step etc., we had to chase them down, literally, the person who came selling the system never answered his phone or returned calls – ones the sale was done he became MIA – then there were a couple of people involved for payment and signature of contract, each with a very specific task so not able to answer any question outside they tiny area of ‘expertise’! Then we found out that Tesla was offering a more powerful system at half the price… So if you are contemplating installing solar panels, it is a great idea, but make sure you do you homework and check the competition, GoSolar is overpriced and the customer service is lousy. I would not recommend them.

Extremely poor customer service

In summary: System installed January 2020 The good part: Great equipment, installation, system performance The bad part: Unresponsive, poor support and follow-up First off, I am truly happy I had the system installed. The quality of the equipment is first rate and works well together as an integrated system. The expertise of the crew while they were here at the house installing the system was satisfying to watch. They answered any question I had in a fast and thorough manner. The performance of the system is incredible, especially now in the April/May time frame with the higher sun angles and better weather. My expectations have been met and exceeded. This part of the experience I would rate five stars out of five stars. But trying to get support and follow-up after the system had been installed has been frustrating and not satisfying. It took several voicemail calls just to get the password so I could monitor the Solar Edge inverter via a web link. Go Solar never did provide the instructions or password to activate the Solar Edge app on my phone. I quit asking after those previously mentioned calls. The technician told me there is a cell card in the inverter so I assume that capability exists. Also, you never get a live person when you call the local Reno number; it always goes to voicemail. Email goes unanswered too. The crew left a displaced roofing tile on the back slope of the roof when they installed the panels. I don’t have a ladder tall enough to get onto the roof to retrieve the tile myself and left a voicemail asking the company to come back and get it. Nothing ever happened. My house has a hidden access to the attic crawlspace. We didn’t know that until after I authorized the crew to cut through a sheet rock wall to get into said crawlspace. The hole isn’t that big and I was assured it would be fixed when the crew left. They never fixed it. I called once and left a voicemail about it. No response. I have since patched the hole. It wasn’t a big deal and I was willing to do it myself in the first place, but the crew said they would do it and then didn’t. If the crew couldn’t or wouldn’t patch the hole, they should have said so up front. I would rate the post system installation support as one or two stars out of five. I sent this review directly to the company first before posting it publicly. I have yet to hear from them in any fashion after more than a week. It appears they are not interested in providing any backup support or customer service once they have your final payment. Have photovoltaic installed at your house. Just don’t hire this company do the work.

Completely unacceptable, lack of professionalism

Go Solar, is completely unacceptable. With the vast expense of this system I would expect some professionalism and customer service. That is not the case. First they installed the panels on the wrong side of the roof. Then they added the meters on the wrong side of the house. They also wanted to install the generator in my living room!! When the mechanical room that I told them to install it was on the other side of the wall. They trenched my lawn to run conduit and was supposed to reseed it, but again they never did. When they trenched it they cut a waterline and instead of informing anyone they just threw the broken pieces of pipe over the conduit and covered it up. This water line needed to be repaired in for not only my lawn, but field as well. Due to the lack of professionalism I have had to pay out of my pocket to get it fixed. I also still have holes in the side of my house. I understand the problems brought on by the COVID, but this should have been dealt with long before. If their employees would have been honest they would have informed someone of the water line. They did know about it, they cut through the line, laid down the conduit, then threw the broken pieces over the conduit. The issue with the holes in the house has been known from the beginning and nothing has been done. Like I stated this is completely unacceptable

Excellent team and teamwork

We recently bought an entirely electric home here in the desert; though we are native to the area and have always utilized passive solar, we came to realize technology could allow us to do much more. The 1st company we called was all about the money-pointed questions were brushed aside. When we called GoSolar our questions were discussed in depth without the nonsensical correlations we were subjected to by the other company. When we arranged for a meeting it was straightforward and given a detailed understanding of what should transpire should we decide go with a solar arraignment. We decided to use GoSolar and the entire process went as described with clear communication of the work to be done or had been completed. Nice to have the goods delivered with no surprises!

Go Solar

I have an all electric house and was contacted by Go Solar on solar panels. I was interested in solar panels. No one came to my house to sit down and talk to me about solar panels and what to expect. No one did run down on my electric bills. They just showed up to install my solar panels and than wasn't able to install them that day but did install some stuff. I had to contact my home builder because go solar couldn't get that part done themselves to figure out where my joists were to be able to install the panels on my roof. I was able to have the home builder get go solar the information they needed. After the panels were installed and set up by the power company my first power bill doubled. I was told to expect a service charge of $8 only for my bills with paying over $25,000 in cash for solar panels. My first bill doubled to just under $500. I contacted go solar to say something must be wrong with the solar panels. No one came out for months. I even had the power company come check their meter. This is a new home. Here I'am 14 months later and I still have $300 & $400 power bills during the winter. Solar panels are not for my house, I keep telling the solar company this over and over again for 14montgs now and they keep ignoring me and my requests. I save maybe $20 a few months out if the year, if I save $360 a year I would be lucky at that rate it will take me 70 years to make my money back and in 70 years I will be dead. Do not use this company they get their money and than they don't care about the customer after that. SOLAR IS A RIP OFF!!

AMAZING company and staff!

This company has been incredible from the get go. From the estimate to the pricing and installation, to now the retrofitting and re-installation process in a new state (I was relocated for work and brought the panel system with me) Go Solar has far exceeded my expectations. The staff is friendly and immensely knowledgeable, and has been with me and explained the steps of each process we've tackled together.

I can't recommend this company highly enough!

Be careful Go Solar doesn't know what they are doing

I had Go Solar install a 3KV system in june 2014 that is 12 275 watt panels. I have had quotes to add additional panels since for $1000 a panel from Go Solar. I found another company who installed 12 more panels for half of the price they quoted. Then learned that Go Solar installed too small of Wire to carry Wattage of additional panels so I had to have all the wiring changed to a larger wire. As right from the beginning I told Go Solar Group (Ralph Anderson) I intended to add additional panels as finances allowed. My system is now 24 panels and producing way more power than just double of what it did with the first 12 panels. I paid 15K for the first and to add 12 more it cost me 6K. I financed i1st 12 thru go solar I got cheated on the original price with a poor quality installation that had to be redone. My second contractor didn't even charge me to put larger wire in and change the routing. It now looks like a more professional Install. was way disappointed with Go Solar Group original installation

Regret using Go Solar

Dissatisfied.
Installation was a pain and they deviated from their drawings without approval. It took months for them to get the system running and functional. We completed install in November but weren't setup to collect meaningful data until April.

They constantly don't return calls or emails and frankly the system still doesn't work as advertised and promised.
