Home Solar Installation

I contacted Joe at Belmont Energy after talking to 3-4 other vendors. Joe was the most upfront about my situation and what he recommended made much more sense than the other vendors. I went with a 21 panel system on the house (most that would fit my roof) with Enphase 250 and Solar World 285's. It has met about 70% of my usage during the hot summer months with the AC on all the time. Has really helped out on our bills, expect quite a bit of savings over the next year. Most of the Fall/Winter/Spring, the system should cover 100% or more of my usage.

I work from home (Mission Viejo, CA) and AC use has become a near necessity for me. Having solar has really helped. I bought the system outright, no leases. Joe's installation went very smooth (2 weeks maybe at most, had roofing work done also during the install). Looks great, performs great, had installed in May 2015, turned on in June 2015. Joe's price was not the lowest, but the quality of the install and ease of it made it worth it. His price was within the range of prices I have read about. Joe is very knowledgeable about solar as he has work in the industry many years.

I would recommend Belmont Energy as I am very happy with the whole job. Joe did not try to sell me more than I needed. Based on my usage now, I expect a payoff within 5-6 years based on current and future SDGE rate changes.

Pool Solar and Pool Pump

If you have a pool in Socal, getting pool solar is a no brainer! If you want it done right, there's no one better than Joe from Belmont Energy. He is very knowledgeable and detail oriented. He doesn't try to sale you on something you don't need. He answers my calls right away and walked me through how to use my new equipment.

Having pool solar was the best money I've spent for the house. My pool was heated to the mid 80's from April through October off of solar energy! Joe also replaced my old pump with a variable pump which also greatly reduced my energy bill in half. As an added bonus to saving money with the pool solar, its also great feeling that you are helping the environment and leaving less of a carbon footprint in this world!

Pool Solar Panels & Energy Efficient VS Pool Pump

We could not be more pleased with the service and professionalism we experienced with Joe Belmont. He did excellent work at our house and answered all our questions. The solar panels have enabled us to swim in our pool 9 months out of the year and our electric bill dropped significantly. These additions are a MUST for any pool owner!
John & Heidi Kissel

Solar Turnkey System

I asked for a turnkey system from him
> with no hassle to me and that is exactly what I got. The system does
> everything I had hoped for, and more. It was activated July 5th and in
> the next billing cycle produced 200 kilowatt hours more than we used
> with no changes in our pattern of activities, merely the system and an energy efficient pool pump.
> Our electric bill went from roughly $300/ month to $1.18.
>
> From contract to completion took about 3 weeks, allowing for
> inspections and permits. Joe had the system fully installed in three
> days, including having to remove an existing solar water heater system
> for the pool. My office is in my home and I worked completely uninterrupted.
>
> Before I contacted Joe I explored other options such as leasing. To me
> it made no sense. All it did was give you a cheaper supplier than the
> electric company, but not enough to make that much of a difference, at
> least in the short term. After the federal tax credit, and a rebate
> from the electric company, buying seemed like a no brainer. And I was
> right- I now have a solar home with value added to the basis by the
> system, a system that should produce most, if not all of our electric
> needs for the next twenty years or so, and the ability to document for
> any potential buyer that my home will save them at least $2-3,000 a
> year on electricity, which btw works out to about a 10% return on
> investment. I looked at buying the system not as spending the money,
> per se, but rather the shifting of form from the investment of dollars
> in low yielding stocks, to adding that value to my home.
>
> Even if the money to purchase were borrowed, say in the form of a home
> equity loan, one still comes out ahead of the game, especially
> considering all of the tax implications- deductibility of interest,
> tax credit etc. Even the gross spread between cost of a loan, say 6% and the ROI of 10%, one
> still comes out ahead.
>
> You will not be disappointed with Joe- he's a straight shooter.

Solar panels and vsp

My husband and I had already done are homework and knew we wanted solar panels. We met with several companies, and when they tried to sell us going solar vs. selling us their system it was a bit frustrating. But, then Joe came in and spent his and our time going over a system that would meet our needs...price, rebate, schedule...all was laid out for us in the FIRST meeting!! We obviously hired Belmont Energy and he was very professional, intelligent, and went above and beyond our expectations! Our system is new, about a month in and we couldn't be happier! It's performing just as predicted sometimes more! Anyone interviewing contractors, add Joe Belmont into the mix...you'll be glad you did!

Mission Viejo Residential

I chose Joe of Belmont, because he was local to Mission Viejo and he knows what he was talking about in solar technology. He approached my request by identifying the technical issues and then giving me options. No high pressure sales. I liked that. He addresses the issues of my installation from the technical perspective as well as the economic. Being an engineer and somewhat knowledgeable on solar, I liked his approach and business ethics.
