Picked because the watts per area beat everything else. Six years later and these panels still occasionally beat their rated power when the sky is clear and the sun is bright. These are high-efficiency, high quality panels which means they are not cheap. Look elsewhere if $ per watt is your driving concern, but beware that other panels may not have this quality.
