Our solar panels went up in October 2006 so we are heading into year #7 - we initially installed 21 panels on the house, and several years later we went with custom built (to match our tiered tile roof) triangular panels (19 of them) right on the front of the house. Our HOA was 100% supportive and in fact they referred people who wish to "go solar" to us. <br />We have saved literally thousands of dollars so far on electric bills. This summer (the hottest summer in Phoenix on record, our highest electric bill was under $200! We have approximately 2800 square feet and a pool.<br />Within our neighborhood, there are 6 or 7 homeowners with solar array.
