Let's be honest, something like solar has its variables and a can only provide so much efficiency. But that's not the point here - The point is that when you buy a system that's nearly $50,000, and are told it's one of the highest systems a company has installed; then you should legitimately expect them to honor what they say.<br /><br />The GOOD: My salesman was awesome. He was thorough, transparent, and honest. He gave us a lot of time, and drove up at least 6 times from 2 hours away to ensure everything was good. He maintained communication with us, even when his company would not... <br /><br />The Rest of it (BAD): I was sold on the concept of 100% solar, with a new water heater, A/C, and a 10kw system. I also got an attic fan, additional insulation, new air returns, and radiant barrier to increase thermal efficiency in the home. Here is what I got:<br /><br /> - 8kw solar<br /> - a new solar hot water heater (that doesn't seem to do a darn bit of good on energy efficiency)<br /> - a new A/C with all the bells and whistles<br /> - a flooded bedroom with significant damage that I HAD TO REPAIR!<br /> - a wall was cut out in my living room (and still is)<br /> - I still have an energy bill of between $35 and $90<br /> - I have one panel not producing power at all<br /> - And man have I received a TON of promises and NO follow through. <br /><br />The company loves to tell you they'll take care of you and they'll help you out. But what happens when you hang up the phone? Not a darn thing. They don't return phone calls, they don't service their equipment (as they promised to do), they fudged the contract and duped me into an 8kW system over a 10kW system when I was CLEARLY told I needed a 10kW and would receive one... In fact, on my second contract - which the business owner proffered in lieu of his salesman - the number of solar panels is blank. <br /><br />Bottom line, I've given these guys a heck of a lot of money, and more than a fair chance to make things right. But when the original job takes 4 MONTHS to complete, and now 5 additional months later things are not right -- I'm fed up. DO NOT go through All American Solar. They are NOT All American... unless the general populace in America is a bunch of con artists, that is.
