IWS is a well known and respected local company in SLC, UT. I got an estimate 5 years ago, but deferred and got the system installed May 1st. IWS was great even though the installation had a couple of minor complicating factors. They obliged my request to have extra underground conduit installed for later wiring between the garage and the house, they added a car charger on at the last minute, and at the VERY last minute, added an additional 8 panels to the system. Great company and I love the installation.<br /><br />But everybody has room for improvement. After the installation, things fell apart a bit. I had to constantly nudge about the inspection, the reinspection, contacting the power company for the net meter installation, and then activating the system. Because of these delays, the system that was installed May 1st did not go on-line and into production until June 1st, 31 days later. I suggest that folks using IWS seek advance assurances that after the installation things proceed in an expeditious and efficient manner so that production of solar energy is not delayed unnecessarily. This may require the customer to be proactive in nudging the process along.
