Everyone wins part 2

I feel bad that I was only able to give a 4 instead of a 5 for the second part of my review. You need to read carefully and understand what occurred. The installation and everything leading up tp the inspection by PSE&G was a 5. The PSE&G inspector came and failed the system because the meter pan outside my house was rusted and he would not put in the new meter unless the pan was replaced. He also turned off the solar system and locked the box so that it could not be turned on. He felt it was Green Power's responsibility to replace the pan. The company said it was not part of the solar energy system so that it was my responsibility to replace the pan. The company then came back to me and said they would be willing to split the cost. I felt I had no choice and agreed to this. I understand why Green Power thought it was my responsibility and do not feel that they tried to get 'over' on me. I felt that when they came out to see if we could install solar energy this matter should have been discussed. I lost a month of production while the system was off. Green Power sent electricians out quickly to correct the situation. It took PSE&G month to re-inspect and approve the system and change the meter. The key to this situation was my salesman Barry. He was extremely helpful and went back to the company and got them to refund my half of the pan replacement cost. Barry gets a 6 for the way he has helped and handled this whole project. Everyone I have been in contact either personally or by phone has been great to work with. Would I use Green Power if I had to do it all over again? A resounding yes. Would I recommend Green Power to others. Absolutely. That is why the number on my rating can be considered a little misleading. What I described is much more important and gives a full picture of my experience. I have told Barry he can use me as a reference any time. I hope you learn from my experience and watch out for this issue at your home.
