My husband and I were interested in going solar and narrowed our search down to two providers. After interviewing the representatives, the decision was easy: Alex Yackery of SunPower by Venture Solar was the winner, hands down. He was courteous, knowledgeable, professional, straight-forward and explained everything so that old timers like us could understand. For example, he explained the pros and cons of buying vs. leasing. By professional, I not only mean that he knew the business and the technicalities but spoke courteously of his competitor, whom we had interviewed (the competitor was quite rude).<br />Alex gave us a timeline of the process and it turned out that the installation took less time than anticipated. The company handled all the paperwork and kept us informed as everything got processed. Then the panels were ordered and once they came, a time and date was agreed for the installation. We were very impressed with the men who did the installation. They worked efficiently and quietly and spoke courteously. This does not always happen.<br />After the installation, the system was checked and apparently one of the panels was not producing enough electricity, so a technical person came and fixed the problem. <br />Then somebody from the city inspected the installation. A little piece had to be changed and once that happened (very quickly), the city gave the system its blessings.<br />The next day was a scorcher and the units gave us much relief. In addition to a good night's sleep in hot and humid weather, we have the satisfaction of knowing that our electric bill has come down from the bad old days.<br />If I could give SunPower six stars I would, because working with this company has been a pleasure.
