Review for A1A Solar Contracting, Inc

Code revisions vs. "interpretations" by the county and AIA solar led to revisions in the system which required more time, rework, reinspection and delays getting the system approved and fully operational. The projected max output quoted by the system is questionable in that the position of the solar panels will not produce the higher level of output based on their current position. It would have been good to know what the max output would really be vs. max stated figure. This output could change to a much higher level as the season progresses. The suggestions I had made initially on some of the installation features might have reduced the need for rework. The county inspector was not fully knowledgable or prepared for what he was to inspect and did not communicate that clearly to A1A solar or myself on the initial inspection, thus there was a delay based on his lack of knowledge of what work should have been done by code or code revision that was only known by the head inspector.<br />Not sure if the incentives are going to be there when the time to file occurs. We were more concerned with the cost of electric as the economy continues to go south, fuel costs rise and energy prices increase.<br /> B.M. Wilson
