My wife and I did a good bit of shopping around when we were considering a solar system for our house. I read the excellent reviews for Black Platinum and emailed them for an appointment. I heard back immediately, unlike some of the other companies, and set up a meeting with John Black, the owner. John came over and gave us a detailed estimate of what kind of system would best serve our needs. We live in a historic neighborhood in downtown Phoenix and we discovered that our ancient breaker box would need to be updated, and that a variance would need to be submitted in order to place our solar box in a place that wouldn't disrupt the historic integrity of the exterior. John gave us an estimate which included a complete update to our electrical service - increasing us from a 100-amp panel to a new, drastically improved 200-amp set-up - and with all of this extra work (which, by the way, included a new resurfacing of our foam roof) he came in below any of the other estimates we received (which did not include any of these added features). We got a full 24-panel system with the latest LG panels and the best inverter system available.<br />John and his crew were the consummate professionals, showed up on time and really went the extra mile in<br />adapting the solar system to our home's particular needs. If you're considering going solar, I really can't recommend this small, local company highly enough. John really cares about what he is doing, and it shows in the craftsmanship and professionalism he demands from his team. Don't go anywhere else... these guys are the real deal...
