I've been on Maui since 1975 and been off the grid on a farm now for past 4 years. Its been really unnerving not having someone I trust to help us but now that has all changed finding Daryl. Last month (before I found Daryl) we had to replace all our batteries and our inverter to the tune of $8,700 with the person who set our system up in 2012. The new system went down due to a brand new faulty almost $4,000 inverter. The inverter quit after only 5 days leaving us with no power or water and our food going bad. That installer told me I'd have to wait a week to get a replacement and insisted I need to pay him by the hour to go over the inverter with the manufacturer to prove it was a lemon. This inverter was on his invoice but when it went bad he claimed I bought it from the manufacturer and not him. A couple nightmarish days went by when Daryl heard about my emergency through a neighbor. He was on the phone with me at 9 PM that night called the mainland distributor at 5 AM the next morning and by 8 AM showed up at my farm with the replacement inverter and his helper. By 9 we were back to normal after a scary few previous days..He had convinced the inverter company to do the swap and Daryl's charges were so reasonable compared to the previous guy that I was shocked. He saved us from so much suffering that I will forever refer every person I meet to him. My HERO.
