Excellent Experience in All Regards

We went on the grid today - we're really stoked.

Before we purchased this project, I read quite a bit re all the different solar co's, Many neg. reviews all over. Most had to do with the installing contractor. We went with SunG. because they seemed to have the fewest bad reviews. I bit the bullet and made the call. I figured the $10K system in 20 years would cost about $50/mo. (we paid cash for the system). Our bill was $110.

The front desk sales contact was informed, friendly, professional, and not pushy at all. He took the time to answer all my queries and addressed all my fears. The project teams were quick to review the site and scope things out for the install. After that some time passed (I recall a couple of months, or so).

The contracting staff came out and were professional and did not leave my house needing a fix-it contractor to undo the damage. They even used a gutter bib to prevent scarring. They knocked out the job in a day. The work was neat and no re-works were required.

The time to city inspection was something like a couple of weeks. The project was blessed and signed off. "Go live" was approved three weeks later from PGE.

All the time the project was ticking off, I always had a contact that I could refer to. They were fast with email responses or on-phone talks. I am very impressed. I never felt uninformed.

I believe one thing most folks are confused with is the "true-up" process. I studied this in-depth and understand that we should not change our conservative use of electricity and when it's used. I expect that we will at least lower our bills or eliminate them entirely.

Bottom line: this was a great project experience. I would do it again in a flash!
