No surprises, only success

Based on conversations with others and researching PV installations by a local company, I made a call to Cazeault on August 12, 2015. We set up a meeting, in our home, for August for August 28, 2015. Tim Sanborn and Mark Roberts (installation manager) explained that, with readings that Mark had made using a handheld device and after he inspected our roof from inside the attic, that they could install a 5400 watt field of 18 PV modules. I created an Excel sheet, using data from our initial meeting and my actual past usage, that showed I could expect a 40% reduction in my electric bill. Emails and another meeting produced a formal contract which boiled down to “We'll do everything necessary to have you generating before November 2015.” I plugged the final numbers into by worksheet and with real costs, credits, and conservative estimates of generated electricity I was able to calculate my break even at 4 years. My wife and I signed the contract on September 3, 2015 with a finish promised by November 1, 2015.

With no additional costs (refreshing), we started generating on October 27, 2015 and have produced between 1 and 22 kWh every day since. This was in line with our expectations. Although the actual installation was completed in 3 days, there were several mandated reviews (handled by Cazeault) that took 4 – 5 weeks.

From the first meeting, through contracts, installation of the PV modules on the roof, electrical connections inside, and coordination with regulators and National Grid, we have been more than pleasantly surprised with how well ‘our' Cazeault team had exceeded our expectations.
