Very satisfied solar customer
My wife and I will soon be on a fixed income. Our goal was to eliminate one bill from the monthly expenses to free up money to travel when we retire. I estimate about 3-4 years we will meet our goal thanks to A1A Solar. Jim (excellent salesman) sat down at our kitchen table started us on our journey to independence from the local electric company monthly bill. He suggested ways to reduce our monthly demand by changing to a more efficient water heater and converting over to LED lights. Initially, we agreed on 30 panels (8.1 KW) but after he left I looked at our average cost for the last couple of years for electricity and called him back two nights later and purchased the 37 panel (9.9 KW ) system. I am glad we did. I was also surprised to see how much electricity has gone up over the last 5 years. By reducing our demand and buying the larger system, our first month electric bill was -$18.21 WOW, The added benefit is that I am now buffered from the electric bill rate hikes and fuel hikes year after year.
The installation was great, the installers were able to answer my questions and help me understand how the whole thing works. The $225.00 per month that I was spending on my electric bill, now goes to pay for my panels. I plan to pay them off early so that I can retire in about 3 years or so.
I do not want to make this long because you may get bored with this review. Lets just say that we are very satisfied with the way things have gone so far and only wish the local weather man would tell us if its going to be a "good solar day" or not.
The bottom line is I have to pay for electricity regardless, but now the money I spend goes to a system the will by mine in a few years and free from electric bills and rate hikes.
If you can go with A1A Solar, you will not regret it.
