I looked around and met with a few Solar providers, and Green Conception won my bid, not only do I prefer doing business with smaller companies, they also saved me thousands of dollars. If buying a solar system outright I would suggest to go with Green Conception.<br /><br /> Everything went right on schedule, no hidden costs, no surprises. I wasn't thrilled with the fact that for a solar PV system you need to install shut-off/junction box on the side of the house (as required by city law) but they even matched the wood-paint color of my mid-century house perfectly for the conduit breaker terminals, I hardly notice it is there.<br /><br />The only downside of the entire project was waiting 6 weeks for LADWP to get their act together to turn the system live, however I was warned by Green Conception they can be slow, so it wasn't a surprise. Just be patient for it to go live, and Green Conception was following up with the city during that time period, I never felt forgotten about.<br /><br />The system passed city inspections without a single gripe from the inspector, and the mounting and installation of everything looks totally perfect. I can't imagine it done better.<br /><br />Now I've had the system a month, it's been offsetting electricity usage for my entire house and I'm of course thrilled about that! The web-based monitoring system they set you up with for free is very cool too! Thanks again, GC :)
