In 2010 I had solar hot water and solar electric put on my house. I loved it from the start. The system covered nearly all of my electricity needs. In 2014 I added to the system by putting in a heat pump and more solar panels. Now I can heat my 4 bedroom cape with the sun. Last winter I used only 100 gallons of oil and one cord of wood in addition to the heat pump, and it was a long, cold winter. My electric bill is only the basic CMP charge of under $11 per month. I am loving this! I have "electricity in the bank" for next winter.
