New England Clean Energy (NECE) put 39 Sunpower high output panels on my house. They meet all our needs and we send the surplus credit to my son's family. NECE was the only company, among many that I called, who would really work with me on design and costing of the solar electric system before my house was built. They came out with a camera on a long pole and raised the camera to the height of the future roof, to assess shading issues. Other companies said "call us when the house is built." My impression is this company is small and local and staffed by green energy geeks, while most others are big and national and staffed by salesperson types. My install process went smoothly and I am happy with equipment. I wanted to use a different SREC broker from their usual, and NECE cooperated with that. Also, I got the idea to switch to time-of-use metering by reading the NECE blog, and I think that is going to increase my financial return, so I appreciate their dissemination of that information.
