John Black (owner) is the best contractor of any type I have hired. I have done a lot of work on my house and had issues with every contractor EXCEPT Black Platinum. I got 2 other quotes which were more money. One large company told me not to use Black Platinum “because they were small with little experienceâ€. They also said “micro-inverters were unproven technologyâ€. They were totally wrong on both accounts. I found smaller is better especially when the owner is onsite doing the work. John was also willing to accommodate unique needs of my situation. Mine is large system which required swapping out a main electrical panel. There was an manufacturer issue with the panel causing a partial power failure that showed up on Thanksgiving Day morning. Despite the holiday, John and one of his workers came to the house within a hour to address the issue. I doubt that would have happened with a “large companyâ€. John also monitors his subs (roof, stucco, drywall, etc.) closely and makes sure the job is up to his standards. BOTTOM LINE: I highly recommend Black Platinum.<br />I love the Enphase micro-inverter system with its online monitoring. Very cool.
