Review for Sungevity (Residential)

Great experience! !

I've had my solar system for nearly 3 years now and absolutely love it. It is a leased system but unlike some such companies all the power i generate on my roof belongs to me and i just pay a flat monthly fee with a small increase each year.. Some companies put the system on the roof and make you pay for whatever is generates on a kilowatt basis. So if it generates more than you want or need (and goes out to the grid) you pay for it (although in theory your power company will pay you some trivial amount for excess generation). With Sungevity i pay $60 per month (i paid a little upfront downpayment too) for a 3.7 system and they guarantee that it will generate at least 4000 kilowatt hours per year (it usually generates 6000). While there were a few little glitches between ordering and installation (like we needed a new roof since it had last been shingled 30 years ago) and PG&E dragged their feet on the interconnect it has worked perfectly since then. I have an app on my phone so i can check generation on an hourly basis if i so wish.
