We would highly recommend solar. Our average monthly electric bill was $600. It is now $2 in taxes. $24 per year verses $7,200 per year makes it a no brainer. We have had NO problems since installation was complete. We paid $35,000, up front, but will recover that in less than 5 years with the increases we would have had in our electric bills.<br /><br />We dedided on a prepaid option. This makes the process more complicated, but is the cheapest in the long run. We did not want to purchase the system because we liked having someone to insure, maintain and monitor our system for the next 20 years.
