No Communication & Poor insatllation

Look elsewhere for your solar installation. These guys will ignore your requests and they perform substandard installations with no quality control. <br />I hired these guys 4 months ago after looking at a lot of companies because John their salesman did not feed us an BS and seemed straight forward. The company touted their experience and how they train installers etc..... But the way they handled my project was more like a first time small company. <br />I could not get clear communication from these guys. I would send email for updates and requests and they would take days to answer. I felt like I was managing my own project. They promised a site evaluation and did not do it till I asked for it and would not approve the plan. I never had consistent communication on the status of the project and was regularly ignored. I had 3 contacts to help and only John our salesman would reply only to say he has to check with the other. Don't ask these guys to track you schedule or give you updates because they won't. <br />Come installation and we had nothing but problems. Installers did not have the right diagrams or permits. The schedule was not clearly called out and they split my install over 2 weeks. Installers damaged a solar panel and the company would not give me an update on repair or replacement. Installers did not follow the approved diagrams for installation. And finally we turn on the system and surprise, they forgot to hook up half the panels. My system sat on my roof for weeks and they did not perform any quality control. So once we got permission to operate I only had half a system working. Today I have a running system but no warranty details because these guys don't put their installation warranty in writing. Not once during the process did they apologize for the bad support till I had a long discussion with John about all the issue. This is not a professional company.

We are always saddened to hear a rare poor review, especially when we did everything possible to make HM happy. We even completed the system 6 WEEKS ahead of schedule. If anyone would like the real details and truth of this matter, please feel free to drop by our showroom in Old Town Murrieta or call me directly. We adore our customers and are very very appreciative of them. You won't find more committed people to the solar industry than the staff at Ambassador Energy and Ambassador Energy College [we train other solar companies nationwide]. I will chalk this one up to "you can't make miserable people happy - only they can do that for themselves". I hope the latter for HM. Thank you all for considering all sides. Thank you Kelly for proving my point about the lack of professionalism. I challenge you to call me and get my half of the story on all the issues we experienced. We still have open action items that your company has not addressed. I would be interested on your feedback to what actually happened to make our experience with Ambassador “miserable”.

So it has been over 2 weeks since I asked the company president to call me an no response. I also talked to my salesman about having a quick call with her and no response. Completely unprofessional. You cannot insult your customers that paid over $36k for a system without getting their side of the story. <br /><br />Oh well, I finally got a written warranty from these guys but it took a week to get it. I guess they did not have one written already. We also needed an updated sign to be compliant on the side of the house because the installers did not follow the diagrams. Rather than come out and do a quick swap they just mailed it to me and basically I need to install. I guess they got paid and are happy to get rid of me. <br /><br />Buyers beware. If you want to get clear communication and check your contractors work don't use this company. The don't care about customer service. <br /><br />On a side not, the president called the install ahead of schedule. Fact is they did not know we were 6 weeks ahead of schedule till i told them. They originally though we were only 2-3 weeks ahead of schedule. But as i pointed out to them, "what good is it that we are early if the process to get here was extremely painful?"

I would like to apologize for my comment to HM. I was emotional about this review, especially after he made three of my employees cry. Our employees are family. I should have been more mature about it, though.
