Every single person who came out to my house was wonderful. Well-informed, helpful, and responsive. However the people in their office in Fremont are idiots. I had three different "project managers" on my small job, each was impossible to get ahold of, and each was incapable of answering questions. In one case, I had been trying to reach the last of my 3 "project managers" for over a week, emailing her and leaving her voice mail. After not hearing from her the whole time, she called me at 9:45pm on a Friday night, as if that was normal business hours. When I spoke with her about it on Monday, she actually told me that they were understaffed and she didn't have time to get everything done. YOU DON'T tell your customers that!
At the end of my project I had to work with a Sr. VP in the company to actually get my project managed so things didn't completely fall through he cracks.
Rating Petersen Dean is difficult, because all the in-person folks would warrant a 4.5, including the impeccable installers who were hands down great. However, the "project managers" warrant a ZERO, if that.
If P-D can get their office staff up to the caliber of their field staff, they would be a force to be reckoned with. As it is, I would not recommend them unless you are willing to put up with lots of headaches.... read more
