I purchased a home that the previous homeowner had Vivint install a PPA system almost a year prior. I was reluctant to buy the house because of the PPA. I was lied to by the salesman from Vivint that sold the system to the previous homeowner about saving money and being grandfathered in at the current rate and I shouldn't see an increase. First two months I didn't get billed by Vivint because the previous homeowner mistakenly took the gateway for Vivint to monitor and bill, but my electric bills were rather low. Now I pay well over $300 a month between the electric company and Vivint. I pay for anywhere between 1,700 and 2,200 kwh a month of electrcity but Vivint doesn't think there's an issue. In fact they said I could have more panels put on the roof, there are currently 31 panels on the roof, how many more panels do I need to save a penny?... read more
