LG Solar

We love this LG panel mostly because of the aesthetics it provides to roof; they are completely camouflaged into our exiting black shingle roof. The panel and it's trim are both black and we have a total of 40 panels (30 in front or 30x300w = 9kw) which covers our entire front roof. The back is a 10 panel array (10x300w = 3kw) that is mounted as one strip near the top peak of our roof. During the months of Dec, January, February and March we had 6-8 snow storms and in every case, the snow fell right off and the panels were producing kwhs that same day.

Our installation by Mass Renewables was so clean, neat, and all the wiring/conduit piping was hidden. We've been told that our solar panel install was THE nicest they've seen in all of Franklin MA. It's too bad I can't post any pictures of the end results on this site. :(

Mass Renewables

We spent 6 weeks and interviewed 5 different Solar 'integrators/installers' before we went with Mass Renewables (Bellingham, MA). Mass Renewables was the most responsive, educational, honest, had the best price, offered the best guarantees/warrantees -- and their final proposal was very detailed (think 20 pages of ROI details vs. 4-5 pages of marketing BS). I've worked in sales/business development for EMC for 20 years and the proposal reminded me of something we'd give a client for a $1M solution. Not only was the proposal very detailed, but their ROI estimates were conservative and realistic and M/R was readily available to handle any questions on the proposal or anything related to the associated rebates & subsidies.

My advice to anyone who's realized that a solar solution is the best investment you can make for your home, I say you should entertain those proposals from 5 different solar installers and follow your conscience. I'm confident if Mass Renewables is part of your evaluation, that they'll be in your top 2 -- if not your top choice.

Special thanks to Dianne Martz, Mike Kelley and Nick Hurder for all their help in bringing sustainable energy (and a great investment) to our household.

Yes, absolutely. There's lots of solar installers/integrators on the market, we felt that Mass Renewables gave us total confidence to make this leap to sustainable energy (120% of our kWh needs). And don't forget the investment opportunity that this solar investment represents. 75+% of our investment is paid by rebates/subsidies, it makes our house more marketable (if we sold it soon) and the $$ we'll save will be 2x the original cost over the next 25+ years. Home improvement $$ spent on kitchens & bathrooms will offer a 75% rate of return while solar is 200%.
