We came to Hudson Solar through going to a meeting Solarize Wappingers had at the Vassar Barns on the Vassar Farm. We chose Hudson Solar because it was local to the Mid-Hudson Valley. The whole process of working with Hudson Solar was informative and easy. Before coming out to our site, our Project Manager had looked at Google Earth to make a preliminary determination of the best places on our site to place solar panels. He led us through those and we jointly decided on the garage roof. The Project Manager suggested trees to be removed, but the decision was up to us. Our next visit was from Work Crew Foreman, who looked at all of our electric systems and figured out what needed to be done. He also kept us up to date on the crew’s progress on other projects and let us know when they would begin here. Once begun, they took only two days to install our system, a third of the first day being lost due to a heavy rain storm. The foreman then returned to walk us through the recording system, and a couple of days later CenHud installed our new meter and we were set to go. Hudson Solar took care of all of the legal issues with construction and also of contacting Central Hudson. We enjoyed working with all of the people of Hudson Solar and have enjoyed our system – though since today is a blizzard, we haven’t gotten any solar power!
