I chose Air Wind Solar to install panels on my garage roof back in April. I've been wanting to get solar ever since I read about it in popular mechanics when I was a kid! So I did my research and filled out some forms online so that I could receive a bid. To my surprise I had about 4 companies knocking on my door to sell me solar.
Air wind solar was one of them and I liked what they were telling me. The salesman Andrew was VERY knowledgeable.
We chose to go with Air Wind and Solar because Andrew had more knowledge about what we were looking for than any of the other companies.
Their price point was lower than anyone else's by a fair margin which was even better!
The one thing I would say was after we signed up, Andrew did say that the installation could take several months. After about 4 months we were installed and it looks great. I really like the crew that came out to install because they took the time to clean up all the wires and then when they were finished, the foreman, I don't remember his name, walked me through every detail of what they did and how it functions. He even left me his cell number (in case any questions arise) which I thought was above and beyond.
Overall the installation was great. My only recommendation would be to keep me more updated from sale to install day. Every time I called looking for an update, they would give me an answer, but I just wish that they were calling me more to give me the update. (I get that I was waiting for a rebate from my energy company) so I can't complain too much.

From my research I did before choosing which panels I wanted, I was looking for a panel with a longer track record than others. (I understand almost all panels have equivalent warranties, so I wanted panels from a well-known producer) they look awesome! I will see how they perform and update as I'm tracking the panels performance.
I really like the optimizes that are build into each panel. It gives me the ability to monitor each panel remotely. The other company I was considering charged me quite abbot for this, but Air Wind included it in their base package. Pretty cool!... read more
