This is the second project I have had Blue Ridge Sun do for me. The first project, completed in 2010, was a 18 module 4.0 KW system with Enphase microinverters. These have been functioning great and dramatically reduced my power bill, but I decided I also needed power back-up when the grid was down. After consulting Blue Ridge Sun, I contracted to add 12 more modules with an Outback FlexPower 48 volt battery back-up system. I'm very happy with the results and the peace of mind knowing critical loads, such as the water pump and refrigerator, will still be functioning when there is a power outage. All work was completed on schedule and at agreed upon cost. Blue Ridge Sun coordinated almost everything to ensure I was able to qualify for over $ 6,600 rebate through the Virginia Solar and Wind Incentive Program. Will also be able to use 30% of the total project cost as a federal tax credit, so net costs to me for this project are very reasonable.
