Hudson Solar takes quality and longevity into account at every step. The components they choose to work with will coast a little more than some others, but it's because they are the best. The price you are spending is likely about as much as a car or kitchen/bath remodel. When choosing options and a contractor/dealer to work with for these purchases do you look for the cheapest components and lowest cost contractor - if so, I've got a pretty good idea what you'll end up with and how likely you are to recommend the work to someone else. The sales proposals and production estimates offered by Hudson are realistic, accurate, and if anything slightly conservative (my system has been up for four years now and is producing exactly what they said it would). They take the extra time to do things right on the job. Our site was randomly inspected by NYSERDA after the system was installed and it received a perfect score. According to information published by the company performing these inspections only 25% of the systems they inspect are considered trouble free (while over 25% have major or critical issues!!). Like almost everything else you purchase, you'll pay a bit more for quality products and services, but often end up paying even more to go the low cost option first and have to deal with the consequences afterwards.
