License requirements for solar panels and related equipment in Vermont
The Vermont Small Scale Renewable Energy Incentive Program requires that to be eligible for the state rebate components of a
solar power system must be new and modules must meet UL 1703 listing standard and inverters must be listed and conforming to UL 1741.
Licensing requirements for Solar Power installation companies in Vermont
To be eligible for the Vermont Small Scale Renewable Energy Incentive Program systems must be installed by solar power companies that:
Offer a five year warranty on all major system components and installation; and
Are members of Vermont Solar and Wind Partners.
All systems must have a Certificate of Public good issued by the Vermont Public Service Board.
