Professional and quality installation by Sunspot Solar Energy Systems of Las Cruces, NM. Previously, we didn't pay much attention to the types and times of electrical use in our home. Now we do. We can see when a high-wattage appliance kicks in (HVAC, electric water heater, etc.) on the panel meter outside and how the photovoltaics mitigate their power drawdown on the net usage meter. We also try to minimize our overall electrical use during the day to maximize the solar panels' feeding into the grid and thus lower or even eliminate our electric bill each month. Cloudy days will knock back power production, and we discovered a late December snowstorm can smother panels and choke off power generation altogether. But those are uncommon occurrences here in the Southwest. The next step? Reliable and efficient overnight battery storage and- perhaps in the not-too-distant future- energy independence. And if Janet and Mellow have that feature added to their company by that time, then I'd want their business. Solar power is a vast and relatively untapped resource of the American Southwest; it's time to bring clean energy into mainstream thinking.

Very happy with the product and service. My only suggestion is that I was disappointed with the cost of the loan I got through your recommended partner (Admirals Bank). I felt their loan was very expensive, and in hindsight I probably could have saved considerable expense by working with another bank. I highly recommend your company to everyone I meet, but I always tell them to shop around for loans if needed because Admirals is expensive. :-)

It should be noted that after installation communication has been maintained to ensure our satisfaction with the product, and the service.

3 years ago, I did a major home improvement project that included a roof tear-off, more ceiling insulation, a 2nd layer of roof decking, new roof, new heat pumps, elastomeric coating on the new roof and solar power. Because it is an older home built in 1977 and a Duplex, it required additional electrical work for the solar and plumbing for the heat pump drain lines. Start to finish, the whole project took 2 weeks. Sunspot was professional, timely and fairly priced. I recommend Sunspot to anyone entertaining installing solar power. I haven't written a check to the electric utility in almost 3 years and am using the household overhead savings to accelerate the payoff on my mortgage. Sunspot is a good company to go with!

We have owned our Sunspot Solar system for about 2 and a half months. This company under promises and over delivers on everything they do. The staff at Sunspot from the Sales, Customer Service to the Installation give you top notch service. Our system so far has delivered more than promised. Sunspot hand holds you through the entire process from permits, inspections to making sure you are ready come tax time to get your 40% federal and state tax credits. We were very impressed with the comprehensive binder that explains all the tedious but necessary things you really need to know as a solar system owner. We were particularly impressed with our Sales Representative. He clearly told us what Sunspot does better and does NOT do better than the competition. There are various systems, various price points and various break even points. It's a complex decision. For us Sunspot was the no brainer choice. I can only say if you request a quote, their Sales people will give you all the information you need to make an informed decision and if you decide to do business with them, believe it or not it is an enjoyable experience!

The system is working exactly how it was explained to us. The installation process went smoothly and the system came at a good price. Overall I am happy with my Sunspot Solar energy system.

This system works exactly as it was described to us. Our most recent bill was a credit from El Paso to our account. What a hoot. We paid our October bill from the spare change jar we keep in the car for paying parking meters or getting coffee. This is a no-brainer decision for anyone who wants to save money and do something great for the environment.

Terrible when it is cloudy all day and even worse at night:) Very good experience. Sunspot is very well organized and makes the process easy. They walk you through every step. We had the extreme pleasure of meeting and doing business with Mellow, Janet and their staff at Sunspot Solar. They explained in detail the process and benefits of installing a solar energy system. After conducting a home survey, we were offered a detailed plan on the system that best suited our needs. Once we agreed to the plan, their installation crew arrived and began work. I have to say that we have never met a more professional and courteous crew. They answered any and all questions (to include the dumb ones). I never felt during the installation process that I was in their way or bothering them with my questions. After the installation was complete, the lead installer walked me through and explaoned what each meter was and how it worked, the panels and so forth. We have proudly talked to several of our friends and co-workers about the great experience with all of Sunspot personnel and their great work. I believe we chose the best of the best in Sunspot!

Sunspot is a shining example of what excellent customer service and excellent value look like in motion. Sunspot was recommeneded to me by several friends, and I would recommend them to anyone else. The value is great, you cannot help but come out ahead financially, but the best part for me was being hand-held through the entire process. From the initial sales presentation explaining to me the outline of the costs vs benefits, the paperwork involved, and all the visits to my home for installation -- I was extremely impressed! One of my favorite parts of the process is the binder, Sunspot provided to me, it has all my paperwork together, walking me through the process, and acting as a support system. All the people I have worked with at Sunspot have been friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. I cannot recommend Sunspot enough, I was sincerely impressed, repeatedly.

This was an excellent experience. The system has only been in use for about two months, so I can't speak well to some of the survey items yet. As far as functioning, it's been wonderful. The electric bill totally zeroed out this month, and there is actually a credit in our account now! I have been happy to recommend solar to all those interested and curious passers-by.

The system was very professionally explained to us. The installation was quick and professional. The company installers have such a good professional reputation that the electric company can be more flexible on their inspections as they know the installation will be done perfectly to code. Once the system is running the feeling one gets without an electric bill, or during the winter with a minimal bill, is VERY nice. Good work Sunspot.

We were carefully 'walked-through' all the necessary steps beforehand and the process was reviewed several times while work was in progress. Same was true for state and federal tax rebate forms. As a well informed customer I was very impressed with their professinalism.

This was a 2-part installation. Everything was super for the first part. A year later I added more panels.

Sunspot Solar Energy has been an outstanding company to work with. They are professional, organized, efficient, streamlined and friendly. They have taken care of everything for us and Sunspot is the best company I have ever encountered. They are fantastic!
