My installation was a solar pump system in a remote location to water cattle. This was Star Power`s first experience with this type of installation and they did a very good job.

The industry suffers from the local utility rebate program. LIPA NY has been dragging their paperwork (all done correctly by us and the contractor) for 7 months and we are still are awaiting our rebate. This has no bearing on the installer/installation but gives a terrible "aftertaste" to the entire process and is probably the reason the installer was not interested in a reassignment of the rebate as it will take in excess of 6 months to get the LIPA NY rebate. We hope to get the rebate next month a whole 7.5 months after our application was filled out correctly and 6 months after a "problem-free" installation. Be aware that the LIPA NY rebate program takes at least 6 months despite accurate paper-work completion. I would think twice about any future rebate program (with LIPA or NY State) especially if you may need the money during the at least 6 month "paper processing" time frame. I would love to hear why it takes 4-6 weeks for the accounting department in Syracuse, NY to "cut a check" ? Also do not expect anyone in any athority or management capacity to ever return a call regarding your concerns.

Star Power Systmes is an outstanding company for intalling solar panels. They are efficient, do outstanding work and really talk with you to make sure you understand what they will do and what you want.

Star Power Solar was a tremendous help from the pre-construction stages of our home improvement when we first spoke with them - through their patience with me asking 100 questions on a PV installation they were doing that I just showed up at and watched for four hours - through the countless phone calls I made to them , that they always answered, about everything I could think of - through the professional, courteous, clean and on time installation of our 5.6 KW PV system. Installing this PV system was one of the best decisions we ever made and Star Power was a big part of that and we are very thankful to them. Best investment we made. Everyone should consider PV systems if possible.
