A horrible mess !!
After over 9 months, Solar Five finally completed the installation of the solar system on our home. Now, their subcontractor is threatening to place a mechanics lien on our home, due to non-payment by Solar Five. I would never would have chosen Solar Five, if I knew that I would become a pawn in their dispute with their subcontractor.

Seek elsewhere unless you want frustration in your life
TL;DR: Seek elsewhere if you want your solar panel to run and be treated respectfully. In Jan 2021, I've taken over a solar loan and solar panel ownership from a previous owner. I have since reached out multiple times via phone call, email, and even facebook message to try get a hold of someone to help me get an already installed solar panel up and running. On account of Covid I have been nothing but patient and considerate, but customer support rarely answers emails or phones and when they do, they give excuses to put me off for a few more weeks. In the mean time, the solar panel just sits on the roof rotting away and warranty wears off. I have even agreed to pay for electrical engineering affidavit cost they asked to me pay or else they won't proceed, even when I've already taken over the full solar loan. After paying, they ghosted again. After I reached out to their customer service, they told me they've sent the docs to City of Malden for review. After another month, I reached out again, and they told me they never received the affidavit that I have sent them months ago. It is now May 2021, the solar panel are still not turned on, they leave me no choice but to pursue the path of suing them to take back the solar panels and repair my roof where the mounts get uninstalled. The delay after delay, excuse after excuse, reluctancy to help, have contributed to an unparamount frustration as a customer.

Solar Five installed a solar system for me and after about 5 or 6 months a controller began to malfunction and they came out a few times to get it started again. Finally, after a year and 4 months the controller failed again and after 5 or 6 weeks they finally came out and replaced the controller. Meanwhile, zero production was generated during the 5 to 6 week period, which cover part of May and nearly all of June, the 2 highest electric production months of the year. The technician who replaced the controller and the Customer Service Manager both said that compensation would be forthcoming to make up for my loss. After weeks of stalling the Customer Service Manager said “it was out of his hands”. When they sold me this $30 thousand + system, they guaranteed a minimum production. That do not stand behind their promises.

Excellent Company!!
The sales consultant, Jason Griffin, explained in detail the various ways to purchase solar as well as offering a great product from SunPower at a reasonable cost!! Fantastic service!! Even after install Jason is there answering questions and going over data as the solar system generates power. Highly recommend SolarFive and Jason!

We're soakin' up the Sun!
All those we dealt with, from start to finish, were friendly, professional, and responsive. There were many entities involved in getting the system up and running, but eventually everything was working and now we're reaping the benefits. Getting through the SMART application process was onerous, but Solar Five stuck with it and kept me informed as to its progress. After several months everything was approved. It may take you a while, but it's worth it and Solar Five will help you!

Solar Five
From beginning sales to final installation and operation I have been very happy with Solar Five. They stayed on schedule, were professional and courteous always, any questions I had were immediately answered, and they always kept me updated. I was really happy with their contracted installer. Living in a log home with cathedral ceilings, I was concerned about exposed electrical conduits seen from the outside, but they did a fantastic job in hiding them and even upgraded the exposed conduit due to my situation. Having been only 8 months, time will tell if I went right with solar; but so far I like the look and the benefits. Thanks Solar Five.
