I had Really High Hopes for Solar "Don't get me wrong solar is Great" However when their employs lie to you make false claims and false representations It's Sad and definitely makes you not happy with your system. I have personally went out of my way to attempt to work things out! However Jeff Nazarko in my opinion is a person with no morales or integrity at all. he will lie to you at every turn. If you have any other choice for solar go that route. If this company is your only choice DON'T USE THEM! I can't say every person their is bad, as Ben, Ezra, And Matt all where ok. I had originally referred 1 of my clients to use these guys. " That was Before I learned better Thanks To Jeff" Thankfully She has not started her solar stuff as of yet. And I assure you I will inform her of my issues with jeff and she wont use them. If I have anything at all to say in it. I will recommend SYNERGY to her or any other Installer!! SunLight Solutions has solved our high energy bills. Our electric bills keep increasing and now after our solar panels have been installed our first bill has shown a nearly 50% decrease. Everyone at Solar Energy has been so friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. Keeping in touch with us and letting us know what to expect with every step was so helpful and we found it to be very comforting.

I've had solar panels installed twice by this company. In a hardware sense, the only problems have been associated with the inverter(s). Everyone has been professional, polite and friendly throughout. I recommend this company. The only reason for a rating of 4 is because I'm still waiting for a service call on the second inverter. It seems they are so busy installing (which is a GOOD thing!) that they're having trouble scheduling my service.

Steve R. provided excellent service with the first assessment through the final project estimate. The installation crews were professional and completed the job on time. They also handled the Duke agreements, which made for a great process from start to finish. Now several months after the install, everything is working and delivering as expected. Steve's team even resolved the a wifi connection issue with our inverter with no fuss etc... just great customer service.

To Whom it may concern: I employed Steve Ricketts and the Solar Energy Solutions team to have 27 solar panels installed on my roof. From the first meeting with Steve, I was impressed with his knowledge, his care in explaining everything to me and I was excited to notice his enthusiasm to work with the city of Bloomington to involve future solar owners and build solar installations throughout the city. Steve had already checked Google Map for my house and was prepared to talk about big trees shading my roof from optimal solar power. As he arrived, he noticed that I recently had two huge shade trees cut down. One was dead and one was too close to the house and had already dropped dead limbs on my roof and on my neighbor’s roof. Steve rethought his plan immediately and smiled and said I had a good situation for solar panels. I had expected to have them installed only on the south sides of my roof. Steve showed me how I could get optimal energy by using one east roof and one south roof location. He explained the percentage of sun I would receive and the greater advantages. He assured me that the black panels installed on my black shingle roof would be aesthetically pleasing to me. I agreed and since them I have agreed with Steve and his team at every step of the way. On completion, the team even rejoiced with me when I showed them my Duke electric meter running backwards! I had videoed it and sent it to many of my friends, showing them that I would ultimately NOT be paying for my electricity, but rather, would be generating it myself. There was one negative occurrence during the installation and thereafter, but Steve’s team returned each time and finally fixed the problem. They were always courteous and careful to explain what happened and how they would proceed. I mention this negative fact because it proved to me that Solar Energy Solutions was supportive of my situation every time and will continue to be supportive in the future. Adding photo-voltaic panels to our home was a goal of ours since the 70's. In October 2014 we traveled to five properties that participated in the Louisville Solar Tour. We talked at length with either an owner or a solar energy installer at each property, as well as, viewed their installation. What we learned cleared up our wrong ideas about storing power, brought us up to date on system options, gave us a head start in meeting installers (we ultimately interviewed and received proposals from four) and inspired us to move ahead with the project. Solar Energy Solutions was our choice because the representative was knowledgeable and responsive to our questions and concerns, met with us more than once to work out specific issues at our site and presented a final cost in line with, if not less than, other proposals. The rep kept us informed of the timing of our installation and the system was installed on the days specified. Their crew worked efficiently, answered some questions I had during installation and left very little mess. Our 5.2kW system was activated in August 2015. After the panel installation and while setting up the interface so we could check on solar energy output we encountered some issues. SES office personnel never dropped the ball and worked out the issues within a few weeks. The project was a pleasure from beginning to end and we now look forward to receiving our much reduced electric bill. We've reduced our carbon footprint and it feels good.

Not only are we happy with the solar array and intend to expand the system with this company in the near future, we have had an extremely positive experience with the entire staff. They had the expertise we were looking for, and each of them were conscientious, friendly, considerate and hard working. We would have no reservations recommending them to anyone who wants to install a solar system.

The residential system designed by Solar Energy Solutions took advantage of the panel mounting locations available at our home to build an efficient system with the least impact to the home's physical appearance. The installers were professional, experienced, and careful. The installation (two arrays of ten PV modules and one solar hot water panel) was done quickly with the least inconvenience to the homeowners. Solar Energy Solutions insured that the system was appropriately permitted, inspected, and approved by our local power company to be commissioned as a grid-tied production plant participating in their net-metering program. The system has met, or exceeded, all of our expectations and we would recommend Solar Energy Solutions to anyone who is thinking about "going solar".

matt Partymiller is the best ever both during and after the installation

Sales approach and technical capability the best of 4 contractors quoted I assume the federal 30% tax credit, state tax credit, and 90 days same as cash were purchase incentives. I was also guided through the process for the SREC application. I assume that I have all the documentation necessary to claim the tax credits when I file my tax return in a few weeks.

Solar Energy Solutions and I worked together very well and the system produced more energy in its first year of operation then he said it was capable of produceing. I believe the power of Sun should be captured and put to work and PV systems and Solar Hot water system works to save money on utilities.

This company sent a crew to work on our roof in very cold temperatures to help us complete the job in the 2010 calendar year. We could not have been more satisfied. Every person was knowledgeable and helpful, and communication was great at every step of the process.

Solar Energy Solutions and Matt Partymiller were immediately responsive to my needs during and after the design and installation of the system. Their response and follow-up to unanticipated problems after installation was exemplary. This is a reputable and reliable company with which to do business. Their knowledge and expertise is top notch.

This was an unusual situation in that I was able to combine a natural gas well w/ a PV array and build a system more than 2 miles from the grid. I started by myself out of necessity. Later, Matt was able to improve and complete the system so the installation is professional, up to code, and modular - ready for expansion. Compliance with code was not officially necessary in this situation, however I Matt and I both required that construction meet or exceed applicable building codes. I was able to rehabilitate an old gas well and get the cost benefit of free natural gas for everything possible from refrigerator to generator. I am now able to grow the PV capabilities and will have an off-grid home with all the modern amenities and no utility expense. By the way, Kentucky power, AEP, and the Kentucky Utility Commission were terrible. I resent any tax money and credits that support these organizations and will do everything I can to apply political pressure in order to make the aforementioned groups more consumer friendly.

Matt and Ezra are consumate professionals. I had no worries knowing they are among the few in this area that are actually nationally certified to do this kind of work. They are very personable and I wish them the best in this business.

The guys were great and have provided customer service better than any of the other contractors involved with the project. I have never failed to have a call or email answered, to this day. They are extremely conscientious and helpful whenever they are needed. I absolutely did not want to be "on the grid" anymore, mainly because of my abhorence to coal mining practices. My contractor was able to match a system to my needs that has allowed me to fulfill this goal and I am very grateful.
