Solar Energy Exchange

I have finally found a good solar company, Solar Energy Exchange. They are technically knowledgeable and were able to answered all of my questions. They worked with me to establish my requirements, and they designed an excellent cost-effective system for my needs. They have their own installation crew who are very professional and efficient. The installation was done quickly and looks great. Their project manager kept me informed with the current progress and status. My system is now completed, online, and generating power as promised. It was a pleasure working with such talented friendly people who are committed to delivering a quality product.

I got estimates from 5 companies which is something I don't want to go through again. The first company wanted me to sign on the spot and even insulted my wife in the end. The second one was very high even though they had good reviews. In our neighborhood we have someone knocking on our door every week offering us something new and each one told us they were the best. Then I Went to Home Depot and had Solar City come out. Their program was ok but we wanted to own the equipment. I almost gave up until my neighbor, a police office, had someone come out and he said was by far the best pricing he had seen. I asked for the number and the company was Solar Energy Exchange out of Anaheim. They came out gave me an estimate and I was impressed too. I decided to go ahead with them as they told us they could get the system up in less than 90 days. I am very happy with the service, followup, and installation. If you're looking for a good company that's not going to jerk you around call them.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I had to dig up the paperwork and I don`t type. I had solar companies come to my home to give me estimates on installing their system. They basicly could not answer my questions correctly and did not want to do what I wanted done. They would try to sell me products that were not the ones I wanted. I called Solar Exchange and had one of their representives come out to talk with me. We talked about the different systems. And I explained what I would like. They were willing to work with me and explain how all this could be done. They answered all my questions with the proper answers. Excellent contractor!!!

It was a pleasure to work with all those we had reason to contact, from the president of the company and engineers. They were all very professional, efficient and personable. We are very pleased with them. The only difficulty we had (and it only caused a small delay) was our not quite understanding our role in contacting the power company for turning the system on.

Did not see any decrease in usage of electricity after installation was completed in Jan 2010. However, during the past 3 months (April, May and June) the generated electricity is enough to make the meter spin backwards during the day. It works great especially for people who are not always at home 100% of the time, due to taking trips, at second home and visiting children and grand children.

I had a great experience with Isaac and the companey. I am know looking into having them install solar water heating for my pool. I paid the net amount after State rebates. I will need to get my federal rebate when I do my taxes next year.

The biggest problem we faced in installing this system was the obtuseness and inefficiency of both the Glendale city and Glendale Power bureaucracies. This was very irritating and actually delayed the project needlessly by close to a month. However, Solar Energy Exchange navigated these problems as well as they could and made sure that we were well advised as to how to deal with the various snags that came up. SMALL GRAMMATICAL POINT: The words "Great", "Good," "OK", and "Unhappy" are not really appropriate responses to questions starting out "How satisfied are you " The answers offered ought to be more along the lines of "Extremely satisfied," "Somewhat", and "Not at all", or perhaps a 1 to 5 ranking scale.

It is great to see our electricity meter turn backward and giving us the credit to use for the days when we do not have any sun light.

Professional all the way! I recieved three bids, and I choose Solar Energy Exchange regardless of them being in the middle on pricing. They were honest threw the complete process. Very Satisfied threw the whole process!

Contractor replaced leaking pool solar panels that we had in place for 15 years...for environmental reasons
