I have been incredibly pleased with everyone at Mass Renewables and the entire project. I first starting thinking about solar when two of my neighbors entered into leasing agreements. It prompted me to learn about solar, but the representatives from both of those leasing companies left sour tastes in my mouth and the reviews for them online were terrifying. I was interested in solar though and talked to my co-worker about it since I knew he had installed panels a year or so ago and I trusted his opinion greatly. He told me he didn't lease panels but bought them through Mass Renewables. He said many of his family did as well and they all had very positive experiences with your company. Dianne was the first person I spoke to at Mass Renewables and she was a breath of fresh air compared to the sales agents at the leasing companies. She was very educational, answered all my questions, and was anything but pushy. She sent me the proposal and I went through it, realizing quickly that the economics made much more sense than leasing. Kevin was very helpful and responsive for me to submit all the online forms to get the job started. The crew that was at my house to do the actual installation was fantastic. Pat introduced himself upon arrival and was very friendly and approachable the entire time. He gave me updates along the way and let me know the next steps so I knew what to expect. Joe (the electrician) was so patient, answering any and all questions I had and explained everything in great detail. He gave me his phone number and let me know to contact him anytime with any questions I have. The crew was so clean, after they left each day you wouldn't even know they had been there. The work was meticulous - my garage looks great where the battery was installed and they worked around storage organizers I already had installed my walls. The connections outside the house follow the frame and are only visible if you look for it, otherwise it just blends in nicely and seamlessly. All of the guys were friendly. They put up with a barking dog and with my loud young kids (and an often crying infant). Since the job was completed, I have had a few questions come up and the owners have always been very responsive, getting right back to me with answers. I highly recommend Mass Renewables for anyone considering solar panels.

Mass renewables installed a three Solar Array system on my property in Essex, MA this last fall. They managed the entire process in a seamless fashion that made my life very easy. I had been talking to various vendors for several years before I decided on Mass Renewables. They committed to doing a turnkey installation which they beautifully executed. They had great references which had had a positive experience with the company. Fortunately, I did as well. I did not have to worry about coordinating among the different vendors as they handled everything. They followed up with me They kept all of their commitments and they will continue to be involved, maintaining the system and providing preventative maintenance. I could not be more pleased with how this installation turned out.

Top notch experience all the way around. Sales was patient and answered my questions. I came in with an idea of what I wanted (roof array + Tesla PW3) for a system and at no point did I feel like I was being upsold. Mike and his team helped me navigate some issues with the utility company along the way and helped translate National Grid speak to human speak. The install team was one of the best experiences I've had with contractors. Every one of the guys was respectful, kind to my wife and boys, kept me updated throughout the day as things were happening, easy to talk to, and just overall professional. They took the time to answer all my questions, understand the system, and to make sure I felt comfortable reaching out directly if I ever had any questions. They always cleaned up and never left a mess even though they'd be back the next morning. Hands down the best experience I've had with contractors in the home. If you're going solar, I recommend Mass Renewables. I put off solar for a long time just not having the energy to deal with "salesman" and leasing companies making me feel like I'm getting ripped off. Should've done it sooner!

From start to finish we had a great experience working with Mass Renewables. The salesperson, Diane, was incredibly helpful, informative, and very pleasant to work with. The system was competitively priced. The installation team was professional, efficient, and on time. They took the time to ask questions and get our input whenever it was required. The leadership was hands-on and involved. Mass Renewables provided us "big company" expertise with a hands-on, small company demeanor. We love the look of our panels, and the system is generating exactly what Mass Renewables predicted. Highly recommend.

We got proposals from multiple installers. While MA renewables wasn't the cheapest, it's local and has a history while some others have come and gone. Others sent sales people to our home and were more interested in financing the system, getting a share of savings and so on than providing a simple quote. Even though it was the hottest day of the year, the installers were cheerful, courteous, kept us informed with each step. Many of our neighbors have rooftop solar with visible conduit, inverters and so on. MA Renewables takes time to minimize the visibility of the system, including installing the inverter in our basement rather on an exterior wall. At the completion of the installation, they walked me through the operation of the system, next steps with the utility company and how to get all the possible tax and other credits. I'm very happy with the decision to use them.

The team at Mass Renewables was a pleasure to work with. From the early estimating and vetting process, through panel layouts, permitting, scheduling of the work, and everything else, the team did an exceptional job communicating and answering all of my questions. The quality, price, and timeliness of the work was great and I am happy with my system. Almost 2 years after the original install, my system has been underperforming a bit and the team is still working with me to troubleshoot an issue with two panels and potentially add an additional panel to help. All in all, I am impressed with Mass Renewables and would recommend them for your solar needs.

The team did a very good job installing. They were able to hide all conduits and make the aesthetics look really good. I had over 100 questions for my sales guy and I not once felt pushed or coerced into singing up for Solar. All questions were answered and for that matter, I made the decision to choose Mass Renewables.

Our project consisted of a circuit breaker upgrade, generator and EV hookup, the addition of a 30 panel array on the roof, and the installation of a whole home ductless heat pump system. Their professionalism, craftsmanship, and service are top notch. I was really impressed how they took the time to hide/conceal as much of the wiring and conduit as possible to give a clean, finished look to the entire project and my overall home. I found Mass Renewables to have the high quality customer service experience you'd expect only from a small local company with the resources, abilities, and knowledge of a large company. Designing with Dianne, Installation with Joe and Pat, Permitting with Jeff, and Wrap up with Mike were each an enjoyable experience as we worked on our home's cleaner and renewable energy. A thank you shout out also to the rest of the team who's names I didn't catch but did an amazing job; especially whoever was in my attic and took extra care not to spread the cellulose insulation all over the house!

Everything with Mass Renewables went great. From quoting to turning the system on, Mike and the guys walked me through the entire process. Joe and Eric did most of the installation, and they were stellar. They went above and beyond to make sure that my wife and I would be happy with the finished product, from the technical aspects to the asthetic. The system looks and works great, and I would happily recommend them to anyone who is interested in residential solar power.

From the initial contacts via email to the final closing meeting, Mass Renewables did a fantastic job. All their personnel from sales to office to installers were terrific in keeping me informed of all the steps as the projected moved from one phase to another and the fact that they communicated with Eversource and the town for all the permits and inspections was exactly as stated.

I shopped around a bit looking for a company to help me understand solar panel installations, and then execute it. In the end I chose MassRenewables because I felt they were very professional in their presentation. It turns out that was the right choice. After signing the initial agreement, they stayed in touch about their timeline and they were very flexible when I had to postpone the installation for a few months. Once the installation got underway, they should up on time and worked very hard. Throughout the process they kept me informed about what they were doing and what was going to happen next. In the end, I now have a great working set of solarpanels on my roof. It was zero hassle, and great overall experience with a very positive result!

We got our system up an running within the schedule Mass Renewables proposed. The system is performed just as they presented it in the proposal. The workmanship of the job was vary clean taking care of the finishing details as if their own home. They took care of all the paper work with other parties involved. Overall it was a pain-free experience.

I primarily picked this company because they *dont* subtract out the work and because they're extremely local, and I'm glad I chose Mass Renewables! After reading horror story reviews about *other* companies where people were complaining about all sorts of things from: the solar installer subcontracting out all the work to people who proceeded to do various things terrible things. Or of companies 50+ miles away for whom the communication becomes awful after receiving the payment. I'm happy to say none of that happened with them. The sales process was smooth. They didn't try to push any particular system config in order to make me spend the most. In fact, after doing the survey, they lowered the number of panels because it would have generated more than I needed. The price was exactly as quoted, spread out among three payments throughout the process of the project. Nothing at all to complain about in the whole planning and post-installation process. They actually opportunistically did the installation about a month ahead of schedule because my roof was clear of snow and their originally scheduled job wasn't! The installation was quick and seemingly high quality. Everyone doing the installation that I talked to was pleasant and very informative. The system wasn't actually producing energy something like 2 months after the installation because of delays from National Grid and the town inspection. You can't at all blame them for that, but I think it's an important point of information for people to be aware of. You'll be all excited about the installation, and then will have to wait for annoying things outside your/their control before it's generating electricity. But now that it's on, it's (so far) exceeding my expectations!

I've had several friends go through the process of going solar in recent years and was recommended to go with Mass Renewables. The team is incredibly responsive and professional and I'm very happy with the workmanship of the project.

MA Renewables installed two solar systems for me. One at my home in Rumford, RI three years ago and the other this summer 2021 at my business in East Providence, Rhode Island. The system at my home is Feed & Tariff and the solar system at my business is Net Metering. 17 solar panels at my home and 58 at my business. The entire process was very easy and everything went well, no issues at all. I'm sure that there are other solar installers that are very good but I can't imagine process going any smoother. No hard sell just straight answers. Many people don't even realize that I have these two systems installed, they look great. I'm 100% satisfied and I give MA Renewables an A++, my highest rating. Please note that I am only submitting one review and the system information that I am providing is for the larger installation at my business. This website will only let me post specs on one solar system . I choose to write only one review for both systems.

My wife and I had researched for over 2 years, talked with 6 plus companies, all saying they had what we wanted! Each company came in with their proposal, all with a proposal that was not in our interest. Fast forward it's early November, we are frustrated, we are going to loose this year's tax credits if not installed and tied in before January 1st. With a desperate search one more time we found Mass Renewables. I called Mike Kelly (one of the 2 owners) right then. He told me the sales person, and the other owner (Jeff) would be at my home by 8 the next morning. Amazing 8 am they were there. We talked about our needs what we did and did not want, and Jeff looked at me and said they could do it, time frame and all! We were bowled over by that statement. Without hasitation we signed the contract! Handed the first payment and never looked back! 2 weeks later they called and said the equipment was shipped, By now its cold and wet, yet Jeff and crew slogged through the mud, dug the trench and installed our Solar Tracker! ON TIME!!! I've been in construction my whole life, very rarely is someone on time. The crew was fantastic, the owners are fabulous, the sales staff know what they are talking about. We are going to move in the next 9 months, we will be calling them again for a new system. They are the company to go to. Honest, Friendly, Informative, and most of all true to their word!!! I reached out to 3 companies for a bid to install solar at my house. Two were national companies and Mass Renewables was the local company. One of the national companies sent a generic bid via email, and it was the highest price, with no effort put into the bid, including communicating with me in a timely manner (a couple of weeks after initial minimal contact. I met with Diane and she was very thorough in her presentation, and was very responsive to my follow up questions. Mike Kelly was also helpful with questions. Mass Renewables pricing was in line with the other national company, but their attention to detail and response to questions exceeded what I could have hoped for, or received from the other company. The turnaround time from proposal to installation was as quick as possible, and everyone that I dealt with from Mass Renewables was awesome!!! They even handled all of things that other companies leave to the homeowner, such as dealing with the electric company, city hall and getting me signed up on the Mass Smart energy rebate program. My system is outperforming the quote, and I will be adding a battery to the system, probably this year. Highly recommended!!!

I spoke with several solar companies prior to choosing Mass Renewables for solar panels for my home. One of their biggest advantages is that they do their own install of the product. Many solar companies outsource this work and mistakes can be made when installing panels. They also work with more than one manufacturer; solar is not a one size fits all solution. Having access to a variety of products is important. Chad Chviek’s design made sure the proper panel design was created allowing for maximum production and minimal cost. He even recommended trimming some of the trees on my property to gain the best results! None of the other companies even suggested this to me. Nick Hurder and the team treated my home with professionalism, care, and respect when installing the panels. The whole process went really quickly too. This local family run business has been around for many years; few solar companies can say the same. They took care of everything-from designing the best layout to assistance with financing to completing all the cumbersome paperwork for tax credits and warranties. Choosing to go with Mass Renewables is the best decision you will make. My only wish is that I had done it sooner. Call them today!

I felt good about the reviews I read and decided to reach out to them. Immediately, Tim reached out to us. My husband and I liked that they were local. The contract was relatively small and they were honest. With 12+ years experience here in Massachusetts, they answered all of our questions and addressed any concerns we had. From the site work to the installation, they treated my home as if it was there's, and explained what they were going to do to our house before they did it. Upon completion, you couldn't even tell we had solar panels installed. They handle all the paperwork along the way so you don't have to worry about a thing. Everyone was a joy to work with and if that's not enough, then Mike (the owner) does the final closeout with you. All around, a nice experience, one that you can feel good about. I highly recommend them.

We first spoke with Mass Renewables in 2013, based on a friend's recommendation. We didn't have a system installed until 2019, in large part because it took us both that long to be comfortable with the idea of installing solar panels on our roof. I contacted them about three times in the course of those six years to get an updated estimate for what they could do, and every time they were very helpful and patient and got back to us quickly. After six years and many more conversations, they did meticulous work. They installed conduit in the attic (an unusually tight space in our house) instead of over the roof. While I told the electrician it would be OK to drill through our recently-renovated deck, he was able to avoid doing so and I'm grateful for his effort every time I walk by that space. They also communicated clearly with us while working to meet a very tight schedule of approaching winter, which enabled us to have another contractor replace two aging skylights before the panels were installed--what could have been a nightmare instead worked like a dream (I don't suggest trying to make the schedule more difficult and we did our best to avoid this, but the experience illustrates how well they did). They included extending the warranty of the system's components. When the utility completed the installation of the second power meter, Mass Renewables was able to turn the system on remotely within a few minutes of my sending them an email. If I had to do this over again, I'd use them again in a heartbeat, and would recommend them to anyone.

I found Mass Renewables based on numerous Facebook posts on the Franklin page with customers all highly recommending them. The entire crew that I worked with throughout the process was wonderful. They were very efficient and responsive hard workers. They were respectful with wearing masks during COVID-19. I have had the solar panels up and running now for a week and I have no complaints. The owner was great to work with and did an amazing job doing some of the unique project work himself. I highly recommend going green with Mass Renewables and making a good investment in your home if you plan on living there long term. Owning is so much better than leasing in my opinion.

From the initial consultation, through installation and post-install follow-up, you could not ask for a better company. They are local, know all the ins and outs of the incentives, and provide exceptional customer service. They may be slightly more expensive than some others in the area, but they are NOT a fly-by-night. Be careful with solar installers - some are here today and gone tomorrow, with little attention to detail. That is not the case with Mass Renewables. The system install, clean-up and follow-through is truly exceptional. You cannot go wrong with this team.

Quick and professional installation that was done in a few days. Support team is great managing issues. BTW, the only issues we ever had were related to our WiFi coverage in the house, not the solar equipment itself. They'll install a reporting system so that you can track your production and manage any issues, and our router was a little out of range of the solar transmitter in the basement. Not Mass Renewables problem, but they came over and fixed it anyway. Awesome experience and should have done this a while ago.

I was already pleased with Mass Renewables and the excellent job they did installing my solar panels. They look great on the house and the wiring was hidden perfectly, not the way you see it on some other houses. But I am most pleased with the calculation they did in regards to profitability. They told me in roughly 4 years, my system would begin paying for itself. And here we are 4 years and 2 months later and I'm already generating a profit. They were right and I'm glad I went with them. Everything has been easy and I couldn't ask for a better company to deal with.

New system eliminated my electric bill for 2 of the last 3 winter months (intentionally oversized a bit), provided a nice fed deduction, MA deduction plus SMART rebate checks. Mass Renewables wasn't my lowest bid, and initially underestimated the install time, but they were clearly well experienced and did a quality installation. I think it actually looks better than systems that I used to think were the better, cleaner installations.

We found Mass Renewables through reviews here and elsewhere, and were among three companies with whom we met to bring solar to our home. We were very impressed with the presentation - very specific and detailed information about solar energy in general and about the benefits to our home specifically. At no time during this presentation (unlike the others) did we feel like we were being sold something. No pressure, no sales pitch - just an educational meeting (which matched what research I had done already - also unlike other businesses). They were most knowledgeable about the current and future state of solar energy in Massachusetts as well. Once we went with Mass Renewables, the rest of their team was just as expert as their first point of contact. From setting up the installation, to the installers in our home - each person was very respectful of us and our space. They kept things neat and clean. They were there when they said they would be there (early, in fact, each time) and done when they said they would be done. In fact, they initially gave us a timeline for installation to be complete and ultimately finished ahead of schedule. Most helpful throughout this whole process is that they took care of everything - from getting permits from the town, to completing the application process for our SMART credits. This entire process, which seemed daunting at first, went very very smoothly. I cannot help but admire how Mass Renewables does the work that they do. Across many industries, they can really serve as a role model of how you should run a business and how to take care of your clients. I would recommend them without any hesitation to my family and friends.

I had a great experience with Mass Renewables. We worked together to optimize the system. Energy savings have been better than expected. Everything has gone according to plan. When I had an issue with Mass. SMART program they worked with me to fix it. When my cable company mistakenly severed the on-line connection Mass Renewable worked diligently with me to fix it. You are much better going with a company like this that is both knowledgeable and really cares.

Initially found them doing an internet search and got in touch because of their great reviews and they were in a neighboring town. They were very quick to respond and came by for an in-person meeting to walk us through our options. Everything was clear from the start and we felt very comfortable going forward with them. One month after our initial contact they were installing the panels on the roof. The entire team was very professional and respectful of our house and we felt very comfortable having them go in and out of our home. The panels looked great on the roof they clearly know what they are doing. We referred her to our family and friends without hesitation.

The whole process of working with Mass Renewables was quick and easy. They responded very quickly to my inquiry and set up a home visit within a week. Because of a cancellation, they were able move up our installation. Again, no surprises - their folks talked about where things would go, asked for our preferences on where to mount the inverter, the smart meter, and how to run the conduit to bring power into our home. Everybody was polite, friendly, and efficient. Our project was about 3 months from initial visit to generating power, and that included replacing our shingles before Mass Renewables could start. We've just started producing but, unless production turns out to be far below their estimates, we are thoroughly pleased with Mass Renewables and their staff and recommend them highly.

Once we decided we want to install solar panels we enquired many installation companies. Mass Renewables is the only company that helped us to understand every minute details of the installation, net metering, SMART program, making the choice for panel company, design of the installation on the front of the house vs backside of the house, the timeline for the overall process, etc. After helping us making all these choices they did an excellent job during the installation process. They respected our choices and communicated everything with us. In the process, we also got out panel updated to 200Amp. I and my spouse are very happy with the work and left the job site very clean. After that, we are in constant contact to make sure the electric grid company follows up with the next steps until we could turn on the system. Finally, after all the process is done we are generating power from solar panels and very happy with the decision of going solar. Highly recommend them to anyone how wants to make solar panel investment to your property.

As a local company they were hands on from the beginning of the project to its complete installation. Also, they monitored our production and corrected a minor problem immediately. They continue to guide us and help maximize our investment.
