Full Spectrum Solar

We worked with Full Spectrum to install solar through the MadiSUN Group Buy program. We signed in July 2025 and, despite challenging winter weather, the project was completed by December 2025; an impressive feat given their busy season. Deiter, our Project Manager, was exceptional: thorough, patient with questions, and consistently responsive. He walked us through multiple design options and kept me informed about any scheduling changes. Eric and his electricians expertly handled our electrical service upgrade, dealt with our old house's electrical complexities, and seamlessly added an EV charger during the project. Their pricing was competitive with four other quotes (local and national), but Deiter's knowledge and the company's strong local reputation made the difference. My instinct that they'd do the job right proved correct: they delivered quality work with excellent communication throughout.

We had a home installation that went very smoothly. Mike from Full Spectrum assisted us with applying for tax credits and in our hookup with the local power company. Things were seamless and we are currently up and fully functional. Staff was friendly and efficient and costs were as predicted. We are very happy with the results so far. Installation was in late December so we are about 3 months out.

These guys did a great job at our rural property. They are very attentive, I never had to wait on a response. They are always on it! They also figured out how to work with our old barn, which shows they are very flexible. Thanks Full Spectrum!

We sought a couple of bids and Full Spectrum was competitive, professional, and a pleasure to work with throughout the process. I especially appreciated how well Mark Joyce stayed in touch, explained programs like Focus on Energy, and informed us regularly about the process and progress, They also showed creativity and flexibility in terms of working with a neighbor and re-purposing existing wiring to save $$. The system exceeds my expectations, particularly in terms of all the data the micro-inverters feed to an on-line system that lets us all monitor its performance. Why aren't more people doing this?

Full spectrum installed a 5.75kW array on our house in 2012. We are very happy with the system and with the install.

Michael Joyce, the engineer with whom I worked, was excellent. He fully explained the various system designs, advantages and disadvantages of each, and other options. He communicated with me regularly as information became available and made sure the appropriate regulatory documents were presented to me and managed all of the permitting and inspection.

Full Spectrum workers were very helpful on a range of issues and took pride in their work - it shows. They also went out of their way to be clear about any problems which came up during the work while giving me multiple options for ways to resolve them along with their opinion of the benefits of each option.

Full Spectrum was wonderful to work with. Our project manager (Mark Warnick) was very well organized, very pleasant to work with and was a great communicator, so we knew exactly what to expect and when each phase of the project was schedules. The others who worked on our project were very detail oriented, did excellent work and were a pleasure to have here. We couldn`t be happier with the whole process and the results. Our project manager also negotiated with our utility to allow us to do 4kW on a 10 year buy back contract even though the utility only planned to offer 3kW in this area before ending the buy back program. The 4 kW system is more appropriate for us in the long term after the buy back contract ends and so we were very appreciative of his efforts.

Because we had already made plans to be away for the entire month of Dec. Mark Warnick had to make a lot of extra trips to our house to let electricians in, etc. We were not fully moved in to the house and Full Spectrum Solar had to work around our schedule. We appreciated all the accommodations they made. Never having had solar panels before we had lots of questions. Mark and other responded right away (via email) and had answers for all of our questions and concerns. We have made arrangements for our training when we return in January.

Great company, but that Mike guy... I tell ya...

Absolutely first class people, technically highly qualified, with exceptional customer relation skills. The solar power system resulted in a 68% decrease in our electric bill over the average for the prior ten months. I acted as my own General Contractor, I prepared the plans, obtained the building and zoning permits, I self-performed about 40% of the project, including excavations, concrete, all buried electrical cable, new elctric service.

Mark and Burke O`Neal are two of the most careful and helpful contractors we have met. They were willing to present and discuss many options before we finally sined a contract and work began. A delay in completion was solely due to delays in supply of PV panels from the manufacturer. Burke and Mark also installed a thermal collection system for us, and integrated it with backup geothermal heat pumps, but this form permits only an `either-or` choice, not both. They did just as great a job at that as they did with the PV. I would rather work with Burke and Mark than almost any of the contractors who did other work for us. They listen, respond with ideas and choices, explain the options, do fine craftsmanship, and will change or make additions as needed during installation. They are highly ethical and capable people. Attending the Midwest Renewable Energy and Sustainable Living fair in Custer, WI, 2 years in a row was immensely helpful and solidified our concepts of what we wanted and roughly how to go about it for building a new (close to zero-net-energy) home.

Burke and the guys were great to work with. They are professional and very knowledgeable.

My only issue is that the `payback` estimated period (~17 years) before installation now seems significantly different than that I now estimate using one year`s actual production figures (25-30 years). However, this was not what I was most concerned about, but leaves me a little at a loss why the big difference. The contractor had an explanation`(shading of some trees was more than he estimated), but I still wonder about that.

Focus on Energy renewable energy program co-funded a detailed site assessment - so I had really good upfront information. My system also provides underfloor space heating. My purchase was prompted by my ethic and the family culture I grew up in of using the earth`s resources carefully. I help run Wisconsin`s renewable energy program - so I am aware of how to fill out the incentive paperwork.

Light Energy Systems was a great contractor to work with. They are knowledgeable and professional but also friendly and flexible. We wouldn`t consider even asking for bids from another contractor.

The basic reason I installed the PV system was as an answer to the Iraq war and my little help to spare the environment. Light Energy Systems helped explain options, were very honest, finished work as described and helped with both the state`s grant application and the net metering contract. I would use them again.
