Overall experience was pretty great. I was disappointed that they did not come back to actually turn the solar on and asked the customer to do this. It is only 3 switches but I failed to turn one on properly and missed out on solar for the weekend. Luckily Paige followed up with a text. Our sales person Jude was Stellar! No pressure and very knowledgeable...sad to hear they eliminated their sales staff. Overall, I would still highly recommend Aspen Solar.

. . . is keeping tabs on our system’s production through the mySolarEdge app. Jude warned me that it would become a favorite pastime, and he was right! Since he first came to give us the lowdown on installing solar at our house, right through the install and coordination with the building department and NV Energy, I’ve been eager to see how much we really would save. So far, it has not been a disappointment. I’ve been thrilled with our service from the whole team at Aspen and I look forward to having them come back to install a charger when we go electric with our automobile, too.

Start with the sales visit from Jude Mayne. He came prepared with map of the house with pictures as to where the panels would be placed. He suggested a couple of sizing options, we went with the larger of the two and still came out $1000 cheaper for more kWh than another company. Timing was everything, installation was earlier than promised, inspection was early as well. NV Energy’s final inspection and net meter installation was done as expected. The installation took <4 hrs and is as clean as can be. This company knows how to manage everything including all the HOA red tape which we greatly appreciate.

Jude Mayne and all the staff I encountered during the install were first class. Jude is also very responsive to and knowledgeable about all my questions.

I had to shout out a 5 star review for aspen electric. After calling more than several solar companies, and then contacting Aspen. I talked to Robert on the phone and set up an appointment to have him come out here for a sitdown presentation on the panels. He’s the only one on the phone and explained everything in detail to me so I knew I had to have him come out here for a presentation. Aspens prices, financing, and product is second to none compared to others. I highly recommend Aspen electric, and especially Robert to sit down with you and get your solar system that best fits your family’s needs. Ask any details he will break it all down to you so it makes you comfortable with your investment, and you’ll get the peace of mind you need to move forward with your solar system. Rooftop Solar Installation and maintenance We are fortunate to know of Shawn O'Meara's expertise regarding solar panels. We had Shawn and his employees install rooftop solar in 2010. The installation process was explained to us and completed in an efficient manner. Since that time, Shawn has demonstrated commitment in helping us to maintain our system. We experienced difficulty obtaining honest and affordable estimates, from other solar companies, when our solar system had to be removed and replaced due to a re-roofing job. I was very pleased with all aspects of our project with Aspen Electric. As to the above question, Aspen Electric deducted the incentive offered by the state of Nevada thru NV Energy, and they walked us through the process of obtaining the tax deduction offered by the federal government, which we hope to use on our 2009 taxes. Without these incentives, we would probably have been unable to afford this project.

Iam very pleased with the installation and how it is performing, I now wish I had opted for a 100% system instead of 59% energy cost reduction

Per and installation communications were good. Aspen Electric handled all the documentation for inspections and rebates. They let us know went inspections would occur and what to expect. Rebate check showed up only a few weeks after the inspection by NV Energy. Overall experience was very good.

We are in a somewhat isolated area with no cell phone coverage. Communications were commonly delayed, but overall, we are pleased with the results and happy not to be using the noisy generator.

July 2, 2009 Greg & Carol Snee 775-970-5657 This letter extends a professional recommendation for Shawn O’Mera of Aspen Electric of Reno, Nevada. We first hired Shawn on a project which entailed re-designing our solar system which was off the grid in preparation for connecting to the power grid. This is the reverse of most situations and it involved reconfiguration of our solar panels, a new inverter and sub panel. Once that was complete we decided to connect our generator back into the system in the event of a power failure. Shawn was very professional and knowledgeable in every aspect of this project. He was timely and thoroughly explained each step in the process. It is apparent that Shawn takes great pride in his work and the end result is a direct reflection of this professionalism. Shawn is the third solar electrician we have worked with over the past six years. I can only say we wish we had found him first. I believe we would have not only saved money but a lot of frustration as well. He is well versed and has an advantage over the competition in that he is both a conventional electrician and a solar electrician.
